Right who's the next manager then?

This set of players are capable of top 6. Certainly top 10.

OFFICIAL: Mark Robins has been sacked

…ok? I very much doubt he has been watching our games or paying much attention to us this season. It’s very easy to write an emotional puff piece lamenting the state of modern football without bothering to look into context.

OFFICIAL: Mark Robins has been sacked

Nah I’m honestly baffled at the hysteria. Not a Doug fanboy at all but the fact is he’s still at the club, Robins isn’t, so I’m prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt.

OFFICIAL: Mark Robins has been sacked

Could not care less what some Arsenal supporting prem journalist who's probably only ever watched us at Wembley thinks

They were doing that at 1-0. This really is tiring. Did you even go on Wednesday?

OFFICIAL: Mark Robins has been sacked

Or they wanted to be able to start openly negotiating with replacements in time to appoint them next week? Can you imagine if it had leaked this week that King was offering the job to someone else while Robins was still in place?

    The Big Question

It has been 24 hours since he was sacked. There's no point bringing anyone in before Sunderland anyway. You have no idea what's going on behind the scenes.

As I said. 2 shots in an hour with the starting 11. 9 shots in half an hour post subs. It was a complete turnaround.

    If the players......

This questions sums up how ridiculous some of the reaction has been to the sacking. You're asking a forum of fans how they'd feel if the team started performing well?

Their second goal was a complete fluke and we were clearly much better going forward after the subs. In the first 61 minutes we had 2 shots total, in the 29 minutes after we made changes we had 9. Derby were sitting deep at 1-0 anyway.

I feel you have missed the point of my comment. I wasn’t praising Robins.

Dovin MVE Thomas Binks/Kitching Dasilva Sheaf Rudoni Torp Sakamoto Simms Wright Put Eccles in there when available and that’s the best 11 currently at the club imo. First requirement for any new manager would be that they want to play attacking football in that or a similar formation, with...

It was a complete turnaround in terms of chance creation and dominating the ball. If you didn’t see that then no point continuing this.

So how do you explain the complete turnaround in the game when we made the subs?

Likely? It's what happened, do you disagree? We were also sloppy in possession and there was a howler from Rudoni, which didn't help matters. Again, neither of those issues are effort related though.

Set up was all wrong tactically, Derby sat in, especially after the goal and we just couldn’t create space in the 5 back. We immediately looked much better in 433. Or did the players just suddenly start trying at that very moment? As I said, lazy, surface level take.

It’s the most surface level take to attribute every poor performance to lack of effort.

    Doug King - Spineless

Yes, and I would expect a new manager to be appointed shortly afterwards.
