    Championship thread 23/24

I was looking at that Leeds team and thinking that if they lose Summerville, and perhaps Gnonto, they won't pose quite the same threat. It is difficult to know what financial cuts they/Southampton might have to make.

    Championship thread 23/24

I'm going to Teignmouth at the end of May to play in a walking football tournament (with 3 other Cov ST holders, plus another Cov fan, and I'm staying at my Leicester ST holder mate's house. Initially worried that it may clash with play offs or Wembley final. but that is now a 0.001% chance...

    Championship thread 23/24

Really don't want Leeds and Southampton in the Championship next season. Looks like at least one of them will be. Ipswich have a fantastic chance of autos now (incredible achievement if so)

Does the Man Utd game count as a loss? Is O'Hare 'fit'?

OK, fair point (although they kicked off earlier than us :ROFLMAO: )

Agree. When we kick off on Saturday, Blackburn will have had 7 days rest, whilst we will have played 2 games (plus extra time) in the previous 6 days. That is why any expectations need to be tempered with a large dose of reality. Not making excuses for them, but only an idiot would ignore that...

Nor me - bigger picture, though. If we beat QPR and Ipswich for example, great, but will still mean little other than a bit of a pick me up. We all know that it is the summer activity that is now important. I would really like Ipswich to fall short, as I don't think they will be as successful...

Love to be wrong, but can't see anything other than a Blackburn win (fine by me, as long as Blues go down, ) Agree with others, let's not risk players carrying knocks. Play some kids if necessary.

Video Coventry City v Hull City highlights

What was it with the Hull players running towards Singers Corner, rather than their own fans to celebrate? - looks a bit tawtish. Is that why everybody was calling out Carvalho for being a kernt?

Against the worst side in the Prem. We were playing the team above us. F*ck all to do with guts.

Just realised Torp was missing. Have they said why? Apologies but haven't seen elsewhere.

Anybody surprised by losing tonight shouldn't really be surprised. Not at the game, as my Silver Wedding Anniversary, but it was obvious after Sunday that half the team (at least) would be shattered, Hull have jhad an extra day and a bit (plus we've had extra time, emotionally drained etc) We...

Think first goal tonight likely to be key. If we get it, we may have the impetus to grind out a result; if Hull get it, we may well deflate like a burst balloon after the weekends exertions.

    Wrote a Book.

Truthfully, I had read part of this thread, and came up with the same, whilst making a cuppa ! I'll replace it with Mother(f*ck) in' shites (them, not us !)

    24/25 changes?

When was that ? Thought he signed that long (ish) contract as he said he was loving it here? Of course, any footballer wants to progress, but having got to Wembley in successive years, you'd think that the experience he is having here would be a huge sway too (plus we can do what is best for the...

    Torp or Hamer?

Forgetting ability, it also takes time for a player to feel like they belong within a new group of players. Different characters, some more outgoing than others etc, and when these players feel integrated within the group, it is then they start to shine. That is what seems to be a strength of...

Interesting take on the reality of the promised land

Getting in the PL should first and foremost enable us to sort out the stadium ownership situation. we need to own it, without the sword of Damacles(Ashley) hanging over our heads. The world of football rarely stands still, and we need to keep moving forwards (if incrementally), otherwise we risk...

    Watch along

That was hilarious - shows what fans go through. To be fair, that was the mirror image of what I was going through during that turnaround; don't think I have laughed/grinned/cheered as much during a period of a football match (probably even the FA Cup final). It was just surreal watching us take...

    Anyone see

In the Pink Parking zone by the coaches after the game a few City fans (with colours) were having a set to with a few lads without colours (could still have been City). A girl in a City top was desperately trying to wrestle her fella' (50ish) away from the skirmish. Hadn't got a scooby what what...
