    Ayari

He isn't gonna be costing us much surely? I dunno what the big rush to bin him off is, yeah he hasn't set the world alight but seems part of the group in the behind the scenes youtube videos. He may make a breakthrough if given a few run outs and we aren't exactly desperate to free up a loan...

    Transfer targets

Can't argue with Langstaff's stats over the last 3 seasons, taken the step up to league football in his stride. The gulf between League 2 and Championship is pretty massive though

Beyond the Realms of a Loan Death

With Kitchings suspension he got 3 games to prove he should start. Balls in his court. I'd imagine he would be a little pissed off when we switched to a 2 CB pairing over the 3 but it's clear he is already 1st reserve.

    Next block of games

A lot of points up for grabs there. I'd treat the Leicester game as a free hit. May as well go for it especially if they will be a tad weaker with players leaving for AFCON

Are we about to lose the heartbeat of the club ?

This is definitely going to be spun by the Doug bashers. We cant go offering a player that has been out for 18 months wages to match highest earner. he hasn't earned that.. yet. Trouble is time is running out and there will be a bunch of mid level teams with mad owners or desperate low end...

Easy to forget Simms is still 22 (23 in a few days) he has loads of time to improve and bags of experience at our level and higher. He'll come good

Yeah.. man I miss watching him! Really hope there is some gem out there with a similar play style we can unearth. I'm stumped with my limited knowledge of UK based players. Just imagine a Hamer 2.0 in this team we'd be so good to watch

Palmer can rip defenses apart with clever play but he does that very differently than Hamer. It takes more time on the ball for him to be effective. Palmer likes to engage people at close quarters bringing people onto him then put the ball through into space. Hamer just had a knack of seeing...

Match Thread Coventry City v Oxford United - FA CUP 3RD ROUND - 6th January 12:30

Robins will will use this as an opportunity to rest players like Tatsu, Milan and Haji and give some of the players that have dropped out since the change of shape a run out in the new system. Wilson will start surely. Good to keep him in the fold. If we are persisting with the Ayari loan then...

I've stopped getting my options on the new players from SBT. I just ask the miracle fish I got in my cracker, and go off that. Far more reliable and less erratic

    Where will we finish ?

    1. Leicester 2. Southampton -------------- 3. Leeds 4. Ipswich 5. Coventry 6. Hull ------------- Tough playoffs for me. Wife and her family all support Leeds. Family in Hull and a few Ipswich fans I know from school.

    The change of shape

We haven't been battered anywhere apart from Cardiff away. Such a weird result. Even when we have played badly we've lost by the odd goal, missed sitters or penalties. Starting to think we are actually pretty good.

Match Thread Coventry City v Oxford United - FA CUP 3RD ROUND - 6th January 12:30

Would absolutely love us to take the cup more seriously. I know in recent years we have had to prioritise the league but this year league chances are a lot slimmer and our squad is bigger. I know Robin's won't see it that way but a good cup run can live long in the memory. People still talk of...

Some Boro fan just tried to prove Coventry are "tinpot" by bringing The 2013-14 attendance figures 😬

A few real harsh scores for Simms He was good bar his miss. Did very well for the goal. Hadji made the correct decision just as Simms did last match. Great they are both getting in the right places. Bodes well for me, feels like he is at the same point Wright was before it all clicked. Really...

This team will be better than the 22/23 team

I reckon we will be a far better squad come the end of the season. Vik and Hamer were freaks but it was very fortunate they stayed fit. This squad has a lot more depth and less loans meaning we can build. Shame the Championship this season is so top heavy. Said it before a ball was kicked that...

    Transfer targets

I don't want much... 😄 1st priority I'd chuck money at O'Hare. So good at this level. Think him bulking up upper body whilst out has helped him. Strong on the ball now. Next obvious hole is a dynamic CM, would have to hope our scouting network can find a gem as close to Hamer as possible. I'd...

    The change of shape

Nice to hear you positive, fair play to admit the bedwetting. If we have another poor run maybe hold your next bout off a touch longer and trust the management team that have year on year progressed us 😉
