They've beaten Ipswich. Something that we haven't been able to do.

Listening to the broadcast. Still no clean sheets in 2024. Looks like our strikers are blunt as usual.

Maidstone must be fancying their chances against Ben Wilson if that comes to pass

Bedwetters guide to Summer 2024 departures

I’d rather let JDS go than Bidwell tbh.

Yes they are a very dirty bunch. Their manager even admitted to their strategy of trying to keep Saka and O’Hare quiet. Lousy ref who didn’t punish their players adequately. We need to practice the dark arts ourselves and especially when we are ahead- something we don’t do. I’m sure it could win...

Got to win this and the next round as well!! Play strongest team available. Don't care much about the league now (stance has changed slightly).

Call me a doom and gloom merchant/bedwetter etc. That's fine. But if we have genuine aspirations of getting promoted from this division, we really need to beat teams around us like we did in League 1. Outside of Leicester who are headed for the autos we have not beaten anyone in the top 6 and...

90% of the squad is new and played together for less than a season.

Should have brought Lati and Eccles at 1-0 up to shore up the midfield and slow the game down. Might have won us the game had we managed it better. Was very naive of us to let them back in it. Bin off Simms, Allen, Godden, Kelly, Moore, JDS this summer and get reinforcements instead. Heard...

    Championship thread 23/24

Leicester, Soton and Leeds will get promoted. Who are we kidding? Ipswich, WBA, Hull, Sunderland, Norwich and half a dozen other teams will just try make up the numbers for the remaining playoff places. We have to use the remaining games as practice for next season and to figure which players to...

Simms sucks. Plain and simple. Scores from an open goal situation in midweek and tells the fans to shut up. 4 goals only so far. What a lousy return.

Still the stats of 3 strikers put together after 30 games and they still trail Gyokeres’ total for the whole season. I would have expected the 3 of them to have surpassed him by now.

    Ben Sheaf

I’d take 8-10M for Sheaf considering how injury prone he is and could be in future.

Whittaker is much better than any of our current strikers

I reckon Everton will escape. Sheff Utd and Burnley are close to punching their relegation ticket. Just waiting to see if Forest or Luton may join them. Even if Everton drop down it's 1 team to worry about versus 3 like Leicester, Leeds and Soton - all of which will go up this season

Agree. We need to get rid of some of our new recruits like JDS and Simms and replace them. I've got no patience with these players who offer nothing

Fair enough, but I'm not looking for moral victories. We nicked a lot of 1-0 wins last season, but this season clean sheets are hard to come by and our strikers are firing blanks. They need an open goal to score.

Our game management at 1-0 up could have been better. Slow the tempo down, bring subs in, shithouse etc. Obviously had Wright scored to make it 2-0 it would have been much easier. Wright, Simms and Godden put together still cannot match Gyokeres' scoring output. That says something.
