    So .. as it happens

But you have to view things through the prism of the Championship. Of course Eccles is no Graeme Souness, but he’s a top quality Championship midfielder. We’ve scored more goals this season without Hamer so if we are lacking what he bought we’re obviously making up for it elsewhere somehow...

    So .. as it happens

Not really. Eccles is lacking nothing - very good championship midfielder. Kitching had some excellent games alongside Thomas and Torp has been good given that he’s new in. But you can spin it the other way if you’re looking for the negatives

    So .. as it happens

That’s extremely harsh. Eccles has been fine. Torp will settle. Kitching will be our top CH for a good while.

    Callum O'Hare

To be honest I’ll be glad to see an end to the saga. Playing wise he’ll be a miss but we’ve realistically had 10-15 games of impact from him over two seasons so it can’t be that big an issue.

    Summer transfer window 2024

If we’re after a left back Kenneth Paal is a solid option

    So .. as it happens

Yes, seasons have key points don’t they. Four key points this one probably 1) The formation change to get us going 2) Simms finding some form. 3) The Sakamoto injury and 4) The cup shoot out just seemingly finishing off our physical reserves. Others may add a fifth being the addition of just 1...

    New number one needed

For me neither have the right presence. Wilson is the better of the two for me so I’d keep him and bring someone in.Our defence needs a strong steer behind it.

Great season. Crap final string of games. Thanks to those leaving. Excited about those coming and some that we’re keeping

    Summer transfer window 2024

Some sort of fee is the key. I think we’d probably get £750k to £1m. And I’d take that. If we can top that off with £1.5m for Bidwell and £500k Godden we’ll have done well.

Some perspective please (for the bedwetters)

I think it’s been a fantastic season overall. But it’s also fair to say we’ve been rubbish last 3/4 games in the league. You just comment on the game as you see it. It’s not bed wetting. We’re in good shape. But you can still be in good shape but have poor games.

Sorry, but based on what will we get it. If you can afford to do it Palmer is a decent squad player who can do a bit. But if there was a consistent top notch performer lurking there we’d have seen it by now.

Undoubted ability. But he’s not a starter for me. The exasperation outweighs the satisfaction.

Palmers main issue is decision making. Tries the wonder pass too often. Looks great the 1 time in 50 it comes off. Unfortunately it looks like dog shit the other 49.

Eccles and Van Ewijk ok. Simms nothing to feed on. The rest just gone unfortunately.

Well unfortunately that was testicles from start to finish. There was a period just before their second goal when the authorities really should have been looking into irregular betting patterns. Latibeaudiere and Thomas were channelling Grobelaar. Absolute stinker.

Time to think again about “beating the press”??? You can do it. But you can’t do it with our current defence.

Crikey. This is really bad. Kamikaze defending. Latibeaudiere- what on earth is he doing out there?????

Dasilva will always be exposed defensively. We can’t play out from the back with Latibeaudiere in there - he’s just not comfortable on the ball. Good halves from Van Ewijk and Eccles.
