    USSR invades Ukraine.

Some masked men claiming to be Wagner mercenaries have released a video promising revenge. Perhaps not totally unexpected perhaps and who knows how many will get behind them but at the least Putin has probably promoted some domestic terrorism to some extent.

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

I don’t get the resistance to getting the vaccine boosters. You’re basically saying I’m going to rely on getting immunity from catching it on a regular basis, think I read you have to catch it three times a year to gain the same immunity as the booster. If that’s right why not just get the...

I don’t think I’ve ever gotten my strength 100% back, it’s been over a year since I first caught it. Not so bad it’s stopping me do anything just certain things I was doing on a daily basis at work without breaking a sweat before I had it now seem to take a lot more effort. A mate of mine who...

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

Last time I had it I didn’t know I had it until I reached the got no strength stage, before that I just had ear ache which I didn’t consider was Covid. Didn’t go into work for two days at that point as I barely had the strength to walk down the stairs let alone get to work and work. Compared to...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Remember when Khan was widely criticised by the right for saying he didn’t have confidence in Cressida Dick? The Tories even ordered a sham enquiry into it. Imagine doing that to the backdrop of a police force that clearly had/has serious issues and a commissioner who was clearly in denial about...

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

There isn’t a time of year. It’s a cycle of enough people’s immunity wains enough either from their last vaccine or infection or a combination of both enough to start spreading it again so the number of people with it increases again until enough people have gained fresh immunity meaning the...

    King et al vs SISU

It wasn’t hard to be better, SISU set the bar very very low. It’s refreshing but I’m still cautiously optimistic about how he’ll fare long term.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

It sounds like you’re making the argument that private education providers have a broken business model meaning that their British students are going to end up in public education sooner rather than later anyway.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

No idea and to be honest I don’t give a flying one either. The fact is majority of private school students overall in the UK are foreign and we’re giving wealthy foreigners tax brakes at the expense of the public purse that pays for state education.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

The minority of British kids will, the foreign students parents will find a different country.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

As if. Private schools going out of business my arse. The majority of private school pupils are foreign, you really think people sending their children around the world for education can’t afford the VAT? Public schools are struggling while we’re giving wealthy foreigners tax breaks, because...
