Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Pretty incredible how quickly Islamaphobia has been normalised here and in other European countries, it’s no longer taboo in the slightest for politicians to make it a central plank of their policy.

I mean, fine, but that was literally the first time in 100 years a non-league team has made it that far. They had one shot on target the whole game and it went in, another total fluke. Not the kind of risk we need to be throwing huge resources at, especially when we have WBA four days later.

I’m only expecting a rout if we decide to go all out to thrash them with a full-strength side and tbh there’s no reason why we need to do that. The last two times there was a four-tier gap between teams in this round of the FA Cup, the bigger teams made a load of changes, took it easy and won 2...

It seems like an uneven league to say the least - Sporting have scored 60 goals in 21 league games!

It’s very rare that these new stadiums end up offering value for money when the taxpayer foots the bill.

The Way on BBC1 should have been miles better than it was. Will stick to the Adam Curtis documentaries for my sense of dread. New episodes of Sunderland Til I Die were a bit thin as well.

It’s cool for the countries that have a tradition of this stuff but it always seems a bit forced and artificial when you get “ultras” over here.

The chokehold that Sam Smith has on the imagination of this board continues to baffle me. Where are you guys consuming all this Sam Smith content?!

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Can’t imagine why a normal, well-adjusted person would ever look at the state of British politics and want to get involved themselves. It’s truly dire.

Agreed Although surely if the away fans move further away from Singers Corner and home fans end up being allowed in the South Stand, then fans will want to move there from the corner so as to be closer to the away fans?

If we have the ability to make changes, we should make them. Any rest we can get for our best available XI four days before a massive game at WBA is absolutely huge for us. Much more important than mitigating the risk of fucking Maidstone United taking us by surprise.

We have a backup GK, LB, CB, CM and at least one striker who won’t be starting against Preston - they should all start against Maidstone as a bare minimum, even if you have some square pegs. If we can spare one of our players who’ve had fatigue issues lately (O’Hare, Sakamoto, Eccles) by...

It’s the lowest ranked team to reach this stage in 50 years or something. Other teams playing this kind of mismatch fixture have typically rested at least half of their usual starters. Would be mad for us to not do the same.
