Disgusting. One thought, and I know it shouldn’t come down to this, but does the referee really need to leave the next day as all the fans will be leaving?
Penalties to be taken at both ends but only one ball in play. After team 1 has taken theirs the keeper has to recover the ball and boot it to his player at the other end of the ground. No requirement for keeper to stay on his line. If the ball goes out of play then you’ve conceded possession...
Also worth noting that former Brighton director of football Dan Ashworth is there now. I’d imagine part of the reason he’s in the post is to get value in their recruitment rather than pissing it all away on superstars.
There’s a lot of variables to take into account though. If you look at Cardiff’s previous visit to the PL their attendance held up ok post relegation vs pre promotion. But they were in a fairly new stadium and that had led a bump in attendance anyway.
Not entirely following your thinking, but both were undermined as the Covid season followed. Can’t really put any value in what comes after chronologically.
His name had cropped up when I was having a look previously, but a lot of chat he’s going to Fulham. Looks like he’d be a great addition as plays both sides despite being right footed, but likely beyond our reach.
I’ll play along with this as well.
Dasilva 1 successful tackle per 90 - Bidwell 0.9.
Dasilva tackle success 66.7% - Bidwell 53.2%.
Dasilva 0.8 successful interceptions per 90 - Bidwell 0.6.
Didn’t know how this would turn out before looking. Looks decent defensively as well. Stats don’t tell...
xA for the season of 3.6 - Bidwell was 3.4
Chances Created per 90 of 1.2 - Bidwell was 0.9
Big Chances Created was 2 - Bidwell was 0
Worth noting that Bidwell played around 1.5x the games when thinking about the season total stats as well.
I recall Hoffman discussed putting in place something similar, but your standard practice in a corporate sense would be essentially some form of profit-sharing arrangement. Can’t really do that with football clubs, mind.
My issue was always the entitled lot that turned up at big games and started getting on the team’s back if we weren’t 3-0 up inside 10 minutes. I think back to the Crewe game in the JPT as the prime example.
None of that on Saturday though and all more than welcome back. I know of a couple ‘Man...
McNally - 8/10 - very assured defensively, not brilliant on the ball but just about good enough. Would have him back next season.
Doyle - 7/10 - may seem harsh but it was a season of two halves for him. Looked rather shaky early on in the season but ended looking very impressive. Very high...
That’s the confusion. Everyone in the league gets the ‘PL solidarity payments’. It’s only used in the example to show the real-terms difference between winning and losing.
