Match Thread Coventry City v Manchester United - FA Cup Semi-Final

Just looking back at the photos I took when we won the checkatrade trophy, hard to believe how far we have come since then. Who would have thought then that our next cup game at Wembley would be an FA cup semi final against one of the biggest football clubs in the world and that we may have...

Isn't today just the most exciting day ever!

Who thought when we were playing at Northampton, that we would be back in the big time ever again. Wonder where we would be now if Robins hadn't come back. I doubt it would be facing Manchester United in the semi-final of the FA cup at Wembley. Its incredible how far we have come in the last 7...

    Still fuming

For me it's Sheaf, he is key. If he doesn't play or has a bad game then we are rubbish. He was subbed against Leeds, I thought he had gone off injured. He plays at Southampton and Brum and is none existent (carrying a knock maybe), we lose both games. We don't want to lose him this summer.

    First idols

He sure did and he scored a lot of headed goals for such a short guy. I have supported City since 1983 and for me he is my best City player ever.

    First idols

My first idol was David Speedie, in 1988, we brought him for £750,000k courtesey of our 87 FA cup winners money. He scored with some cheeky chips, His goal away at QPR was sublime. I cried the day he left for Liverpool

    Breaking News!

We have had a taste, the players have had a taste. I don't know how that cannot but a fire in your belly to not want that again. The players surely will be more determined than ever. Mark Robins will use it as a motivation and I really do believe we will be there and there abouts again next...

    Championship Line Up 23/24

I don't envy them, they will be whipping boys, no fun at all. A very strong championship next season, hard to pick too many weak teams maybe Plymouth and Rotherham. Should be fascinating and entertaining . Maybe a rebuilding season for City but we should still be confident in doing OK. We are...

    Strikers that could replace vik

Tom Cannon good young striker was at Preston on loan from Everton this season, he looked half decent, or maybe Archer or Ramsey who were on loan at Middlesborough - wouldn't be bad loan strikers

    Transfer targets

I think Vik has struggled at times against the better defenders in the championship and Mark Robins keeps saying he still has a lot to learn, so yeah cash in now whilst there is interest.

    Transfer targets

Oh I totally agree with you, will be no fun at all for them. They will struggle to get any points away from home, I think forest only won once away from home. It was there home form that kept them up, can't see luton being that good at home, no matter how small and tight there ground is.
  16. S

    Transfer targets

Yeah 12 home draws, parking the bus all 10 men behind the ball. Will be so exciting to watch, not !!!!

    Transfer targets

Keep Hamer offer him new contract and pay him premiership wages, build team round him, use Gyo transfer money buy a few decent players some young good loan players from premiership clubs again and I can't see why we can't challenge again. Don't forget we also have best manager in league
