I agree with both of you that’s it’s highly unlikely Doug answers but I think it’s worth asking as it builds a picture of what support Robins had and to put the pressure on DK (I.e did give Robins his full support, if not why not, etc).

@Sky Blue Pete, any chance you can ask Doug about this tonight and also ask he also pulled the plug on signing Matty James - both are similar rumours, it would be good to know if Mark Robins had support to sign new staff or players.

Lower expectations? As I've said above, I want the new HC to target the playoffs. In terms of Robins not being "that good anyway" I simply said there were other factors which should be considered I don't think that's wrong.

Pre season was really positive, a lot of people were gushing after the Everton game. I don’t believe that there would have been a solution this time in any case unfortunately, I guess we will never know now.

We shouldn’t be putting ourselves in that position Otis, consistently starting every season poorly. Only so many times will things start to click after a certain period or things change that help change the tide.
