    USSR invades Ukraine.

From Ukraines viewpoint I think they’ve got to carry on as normal, at least for now. I don’t think that you can rule out the reports about Wagner group being some sort of ruse to lull Ukraine into a situation. Keep fighting your own war until the situation becomes 100% clear.

Something is happening. It’s hard to work out exactly because you really can’t believe anyone but… https://www.themoscowtimes.com/2023/06/23/prigozhin-says-moscow-strikes-kill-huge-number-of-wagner-forces-vows-to-stop-top-brass-a81615

Clearly the bloke who did the flashing around my chimney about 10 years ago must have been French or German. I didn’t detect an accent but having heard the evidence it’s the only possible explanation.

You Know You're Getting Old When........

I’m not quite that old ;) Still had to do a CBT but once you passed you’d passed, no A1 or 2. I went straight from a DT125 to a GPZ900R. Not sure how I never killed my self to be honest.

How optimistic are you feeling about next season?

It’s a bit early to say really. I think we need to be mindful that we overachieved to some degree last season. The league doesn’t lie but points required to make the playoffs was quite low last season so in another season we would have been one of a handful of teams that would have just fell...

    USSR invades Ukraine.

Giving Putin an out. At least in Russia anyway. The longer it goes on the harder it is to hide the death toll and fool the public. Not sure they’ll ever be a way back for him in Europe and the US. But then again they let Gadaffi back in so you never know.

You Know You're Getting Old When........

I remember when I brought a 900 having just passed my test 30 years ago. Could only find a couple of insurance companies that would touch me, couldn’t get fully comp and none of them would let me pay in instalments. Cheapest was £675.00. I had to park the bike up for 2 months/2 pay days to save...

But that wasn’t the platform they were elected on, they had a costed plan apparently.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I wonder how many top rate income tax earners would take an income tax rise vs more increases in the interest rate? There’s a misconception that all top income rate tax payers are gazillionaires so somehow immune (in context average earners) to interest rate hikes. Not true in many possibly the...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

There was nothing right about that at all. The only reason it was broken was because of the failed Tory policy of austerity, Boris was then elected on a manifesto that had a plan (allegedly) to fix it hand in hand with a pledge to not raise taxes or NI.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

The interest rate hike (and probably the previous 12) just seem like an overreaction to me. Low interest rates didn’t drive inflation and I struggle to se what impact raising the interest rates has had on reducing it. Seems to me it’s a combination of the B word, the war in Ukraine and the...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I get Everest though. Would never have even thought about doing it myself but I can see why people want to do it. Not just posh people either, some very average joes spend years saving to do it. That submarine though, no thanks. You wouldn’t get me in it if you offered me £250k to do it.

Just one of the things he could have pulled them up on. Debt as a percentage of GDP, highest in 60years at over 100% announced today. Inflation staling and not dropping putting Sunak behind on one of his key promises.

He tried to focus on Mortgages presumably his to launch his new catchphrase “Tory Mortgage Premium” at the expense of meaningful questions. It was all about setting up the catchphrase. Right to bring it up but should have A) left it with his first question given how many open goals he had today...

    Andrew Tate

I caught a bit of the BBC documentary where the journalist is at one of his seminars and it was just full of knobheads who hadn’t automatically achieved what they felt was owed to them in life whether that be financial gain or luck with the ladies and the answer was simple. Keep your money in...
