I’ve not said they’re overpaid - I’m saying the current imbalance is unsustainable

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Fortunately it not in government so I can’t tell you the answer. the current situation is unsustainable given the tax payer base to pensioners is becoming imbalanced - but that’s not something 55+ people would give a shit about is it

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I’m not anti old people. I’m sick and tired of hearing that young people don’t have work ethic or they just need to cut Netflix and holidays. It’s why my sympathy for the winter fuel payment is somewhat lessened there are so many costly issues away from immigration. Tax loopholes need closing...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Brexit has been the most catastrophic decision made by this country since Chamberlain’s peace in our time. that took place under that government. Not forgetting Austerity under Cameron, The car crash that was Boris Johnson (in fact his deal was actually worse than the one May got with the EU -...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

It’s not bitter or jealousness, it’s the fact that the last 14 years has seen every advantage that generation had been taken away from them. it’s that generation that predominantly voted Brexit (freedom of movement gone) it’s that generation who continually voted conservative - great if you...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Not at all. What the issue is, is the affordable housing is being brought up in buy to let. From a generation that already has one house… and you’re right - owning isn’t the be all and end all, you could rent. But then the prices are 2x or 3x a mortgage. Becuase god forbid the land lords don’t...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Wages to house prices have never been higher, added on to the highest taxation since WW2 and highest energy crisis. So the take home pay is massively lower. in terms of the housing stock I’m on about social housing. Maggy stopped the local authorities rebuilding. Meaning as you’ve said nobody...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

It’s almost like they say they want better for their kids but secretly want them to have it as bad. I’m lucky - got a deposit from my grandad and got 2 kids, got a good job and on the housing ladder. Bought my current house 2 years ago and it’s so cut throat

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Arguably is. The constant pressure on this generation telling them not to have kids if they can’t afford them, then shafting them with NIMBYism and voting on policies that are to their detriment has led to low birth rates meaning this generation isn’t going to have a generation big enough to pay...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

It’s a generalisation, I can find 100s of interviews where that advice is levelled. We’re at the highest point of taxation for the working class in history. Energy costs are sky high - lack of housing stock is causing an increase is prices everywhere, and the competition is levelled at people...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Was going on rough average house price. Point stands - 6% will still be more on 150k house

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

The interest rate of 15% on a 10k house is a lot less than 6% on a 250k house. also selling off the housing stock without rebuilding has led to the housing crisis. boomers would definitely be the pull the ladder up generation, and are now surprised the millennials and latest generation aren’t...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Becuase younger people are presumably fed up at being told “cut down Netflix and stop drinking costa coffee- then you can afford a deposit on a house” all whilst they got theirs for 50p and and a bag of crisps. there’s also the issue of birthrates going down and the country getting older, we...

    How is Aled Williams employed?

2 key takeaways from that article Dr Roberts further explained: “George and Rhys were brought in to replace the vacant position left by Dennis (Lawrence). Mark (Robins) and I interviewed a strong pool of candidates and both offered different strengths, so we created roles for both.” The...

Yeah. Weird mentality that. I’ve had my concerns on Robins but to actively want them to fail is just bizarre

Match Thread Coventry City - Luton Town Match Thread - Saturday 26th Oct

2bf whilst I’ve been questioning Robins - this is one of those games where you got to say what could robins actually do here. we should be out of sight

    Transfer Rumour Brandon Thomas-Asante

You say high turnover but we’ve the highest squad retention in the league. Why aren’t other teams having this issue?

This isn’t true at all. As I’ve said before you put the coaching staff in place for the profile you want. You then hire a head coach to go with that profile. the coaching staff or players haven’t been assembled with Robins in mind - it’s up for Robins to adapt to them not the other way round.
