If our injury list gets much worse he could play in midfield.

value of win tonight in cash terms

Loosing out on a playoff place due to the fixture congestion and player fatigue and the resulting injuries. Put a price on that. We all love a good cup run, but we really don't have the squad to handle it.

Yea agreed, Definitely expect us to see Maidstone off, I expect Tavares to come in for Sakamoto, but I think the playoffs will be a tough task now, not because of Fridays result, but due to the injuries to key players and the lack of real depth in the squad.

After Fridays performance I wouldn't trust us to get past Maidstone tbh! Especially now Sakamoto is injured.

    Reality check

We all know our squad is one of the smallest in the championship, but when you consider that Fadz has left us, Godden's legs have left him, and we're basically having to carry players like Moore, Kelly and Tavares, you suddenly appreciate just how paper thin this squad really is.

    Reality check

I think we've been punching above our weight in recent weeks, and the expectation level has risen as a result, which is to be expected, and keeps the dreams of promotion alive. But the reality is that we have a very decent first 11, but as soon as 1 or 2 get injured or need resting...

Any decent keeper would have claimed that ball or punched it away, Wilson has a clear path, isn't impeded in any way, and has a long enough time to make a decision, but is rooted to his line and basically becomes a spectator as the ball flies into the net. The other two goals weren't his...

    Transfer Rumour Summer 2024

We need far more than that. In an ideal world, we would off load, Wilson, Moore, Dasilva, Binks, Kelly, Allen, Wright, Simms, Godden, and Tavares. And our u23 squad would be completely overhauld. But that's a lot to ask in 1 transfer window.

    Transfer Rumour Summer 2024

If, and its a big if, we can recoup some of our expenditure on Wright and Simms, I'd off load both along with Godden, as none are what we really need.

Robins has to own that one

Tbf, I don't think he was brought in as a LB, he's more of an attacking LWB, he's too easily exposed defensively at LB without a left sided centre back to cover him. It says it all when Bristol City fans said he wasn't even first choice for them. What probably helped his cause was that he...

Robins has to own that one

Very true, so thats 6 at least to go, and Ohare and possibly Binks to replace, it's going to be another busy pre season, and hopefully we can get the work done earlier and have the squad actually training together before we go on tour! Now that would be nice.

What if the question was, who can we look to offload at the end of the season? 😉

Robins has to own that one

Tbf the game was well over when he came on. but it gave him 10 minutes to get him mentally up to speed, ready for Monday night. And saved Eccles from getting a late injury. That's about all that can be said fir that decision I guess. Personally I'd of dragged O'hare off at half time to rest...
