    Dovin

Ah yes fair enough, but not from playing Saturday - Tuesday - Saturday. he’s probably en exceptional case given what others have said on his base level of fitness/robustness on joining the club.

I have to say under this new regime, correct me if I’m wrong or missed anything, but we haven’t had any injuries this season that have been due to fatigue? So like muscle tears/strains/pulls? Which was one of the objectives. even in the case of Sheaf - his original injury was an impact one and...

    Frank Lampard Rumours

Fair do’s - every day is a school day. it’s annoying me how it’s creeping in over here though - it won’t be long before Sky start using it on the football coverage.

    Frank Lampard Rumours

Point I was making was the ridiculous thing Sky now do especially with NFL - the away team playing at the home teams ground….. Ravens @ 49ers etc. Even our own socials. Media channels did it for the Sunderland game. I was just developing the idea of the original post.

    Frank Lampard Rumours

Who says Jody Morris is a fantastic coach? He’s currently unemployed and his last job at Swindon he was sacked from with a 22% win percentage. Did well in Chelsea Academy granted but if we’re going to compare then he’s got no different record and credentials to the coaches we’ve got currently.

Let’s get this right, it’ll be “Wayne Rooney’s Plymouth Argyle @ Frank Lampard’s Coventry City”

    Haji Wright injury

How it’s not broken I don’t know - but I reckon it’ll be ligaments so it’ll be weeks won’t it. Massive blow if so.

    Frank Lampard Rumours

For me, based on his record, even with Derby, then at this level he’s got nothing on Robins I don’t think. He lost that playoff final ultimately - couldn’t get them over the line. But you never know. He’s smart enough. I probably wouldn’t be unhappy I don’t think. I think Doug has got greedy...

Maybe when Robins was talking about lowering expectations he wasn’t talking to us, and was actually talking to above 🤔

    Good intentions - poorly executed....

And I think George was pretty highly thought of at Villa - apparently quite a few of his u23 team have made it thru to the first team - although I’m trying to find out who. and he was already doing something with Ghana - he left to focus entirely on it.

    Good intentions - poorly executed....

Ok fair do’s Adi was at a much higher level and won stuff. Carr was also at Bristol city, wolves and also teaches on the uefa B course. but if we’re going on track record, how do coaches progress along a career path if they aren’t given opportunities at higher levels? I think DK has a big...

    Good intentions - poorly executed....

question - what makes the coaches ‘sub-standard’ if they’ve got the requisite uefa qualifications to do the job? Perception of the players? Or just differences in the coaches methods themselves? just looked this up - both Adi and Dennis are uefa pro licence holders. George Boateng also has a...

Match Thread Coventry City v Manchester United - FA Cup Semi-Final

I had same in summer from a Plymouth and a Chelsea fan. the Chelsea fan was even impressed when I said I was at the game. It’s the best Cov football match I’ve ever been to I think. Hopefully it won’t be like that forever.

    Visiting Teams To The CBS

I remember from Robins first time in charge that he specifically requested the away dressing either furnished or painted brown so it feels oppressive, rather than our nice one.

    Talksport

I remember a few years ago he was doing punditry at the Ricoh and had to walk around from near the dugouts to walk up the back where the cameras are and he got warm applause. same at Wembley I think at the playoff final. i admit I did go along with it on the away days at villa park and sang the...

Match Thread Middlesbrough - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 2nd Nov

Needs to be frozen at the point wright actually plays the ball, but these are the sort of offsides that I think are humanly impossible for a linesman to get right either way - they can’t possibly see when the ball is played then look across the line to see. fine with VAR as they’d always check...

    Lionesses at the CBS?

I’m all for the girls/women’s game but you make a fair point - you really notice the difference when you see Mary Earps (or any WSL team) keeper stood in the goal compared to the men’s keepers. They look so small in them.

    Ball boys/girls

Jesus Christ - so we’re criticising 14 year old kids now who aren’t running to retrieve a ball when they don’t need to cos the players have to use one of 15 from a cone round the side of the pitch. I guess seeing as we won on Saturday we’ve got to have something to moan about.
