    Season Tickets!!!

Imagine the roar if we sell 18k have a great transfer window, new contract for Gus, good signings and a squad that come end of August we all say is way stronger than last season. Football is all about outcomes. The journey to get there doesn't really matter. I think we should judge the outcome...

    Transfer targets

Agree. We could easily go out and sign a dozen bang average players so we have the "numbers". But then we would all be complaining about the severe lack of quality. In an ideal world we want both but that takes time and I'd imagine that the players we think can take us that next step will be...

2 reasons why we have a threadbare squad; 1) we have only made 1 signing and it is clear we ideally need another 8 or 9. Fortunately we have weeks to get deals done and the complexion of the squad will look very different if we made 4 or 5 signings in the next 2 weeks. 2) we released a lot of...

No. But the can only sign frees or loans.

    2023-24 New Kit Thread

Completely agree with you. I think the positive is we have an owner who is atleast trying to get the best deals for the club. Whether that be player sales (Vik), the CBS stadium deal and sponsors etc. For some, his stance will work others there will need to be negotiation. That's business. And...

How optimistic are you feeling about next season?

I'm optimistic. I think we have a core group of players who are improving every season. And I'm optimistic that we have an opportunity (with the amount of dead wood we released) to improve the overall quality of the squad. As always, recruitment is imperative and if wr can give Robins a subs...

    Joel Latibeaudiere?

    Transfer targets

Yes there has. Robins said there would 100% be an uplift in budget. And he also said we finally have stability. If Robins is positive then why shouldn't we be? Rather than getting onto King's back now why don't we see how we shape up come August and then we can make fair informed judgements...

    Tom O'Connor Wrexham

"start" being the key word. We are 1 week into the window. Read similar sentiments last year when we only made 1 permanent signing and a bunch of loans in the whole window and ended up having a good season. We need probably another 10 signings and I'm confident we will make them. It's still...

    Hamer

Nonsense. King has said he wants to build a squad that can compete at the top end of this league in and around the playoffs. I'm with everyone else that I would do everything we can to keep Hamer. But we do have to have a wage structure at the club. And we do need it to be sustainable...

Doug King live on air Monday

But why don't you trust him? Why are you choosing to take a glass half empty, negative outlook. If you can't be optimistic after getting to the playoff final, having a new owner, no wasps etc them when will you be able to? He's actually got a plan and an ambition. Something we haven't had for...

Doug King live on air Monday

Absolutely love having someone just straight up talking direct saying it how it is. The key word is it is a privilege to be in hospitality. Good to hear that he wants us to be top half/playoff regular contenders ans we need to have the revenues to match that. Impressed with King, no wishy...

    Hamer

I don't disagree. Hamer is quality and I think we should be building the side around him too. Securing him to a new deal protects his value. It would cost us more to buy a replacement and pay them than it would to give Hamer this new deal over 2 or 3 years. I hope King can get Hamer deal sorted.

    Hamer

What? Based on hearsay, and rumours. The transfer window has been opened 1 day. Why not wait and see the shape of the team come the first game of the season and then make a fair judgement? Negativity & criticism now just feels pointless when the off-season is still in its infancy.

    New pitch at CBS

It was a joke obviously. But I've seen other clubs posting similar images of their pitches being renovated. It's very positive to see it being done and underway and alongside the work at Ryton it feels like we are operating like a proper club at long last. Excited to see the rest of our...

A lot earlier than last year.

    Gyokeres

I actually take what he had said as actually very positive that King isn't going to just accept any low ball offer and that we are finally going to stand our ground and get the fee we want. Which makes a great change from previous sales. Vik is a very blunt speaker so think everything he says...

    Hamer

But whose saying we are gonna have the 3rd lowest budget this season? We have in recent seasons. King has said judge him on this window. And that's what I'll do... in its entirety and not on rumours. Selling Vik and even Hamer could then allow us to sustainably increase our budget.

Yeah exactly. I will be renewing mine at the end of the month before my seat reservation ends. Think we are oncourse to hit 15k which is remarkable.

    Doug King Interview

But it is about being sensible isn't it? That doesn't mean not spending. But spending it wisely. Otherwise we end up back at square 1 and like Derby and other clubs who recklessly spent unsustainably and have felt the consequences. I like that the ambition is to be in the playoffs 3/5 years as...
