    Things that annoy you

Why no one has come up with a solution to boots/hatchbacks getting so filthy that you always get grubby fingers when opening them. I'm thinking of some kind of auto-flap that reveals a clean area which you can handle. I suppose posh cars have boots that open and close automatically?

    Kids protesting about climate change

Yes always noticed this when visiting my local uni - how much litter is left at concerts etc. Can't agree with your comment about climate change not being driven by human activity though.

    Thanks but no thanks

This comment tells you all you need to know about religion: When asked about whether she was fully aware of the brutal way in which the terror group operated, including beheading people, Begum admitted: "Yeah, I knew about those things and I was okay with it. "Because you know, I started...

    Tattoos

Not judging them as people - we all find different things attractive or otherwise in the opposite sex. I find tattoos on women offensive to the eye. It's an aesthetic thing, nothing more.

Must admit (and this is completely my prejudice) can't stand them on women.

    Thanks but no thanks

Come on, we've all done stupid things at this age, scrumping, shoplifting, leaving home to join a murderous state to become a baby machine for religious fanatics hell bent on genocide. When it comes down to it, it's only a bit of burning people alive and beheading, most kids do this kind of...

    Death List 2019

John Haynes of car manual fame. In the days when you could actually work on your car before computers and modules took over, we all had oily Haynes manuals and their exploded diagrams.

Agree, watching great cinematography on a small screen must be like sex wearing three condoms - still enjoyable (I would imagine) but lacking the intensity. I got hooked on film when my dad took me to see Lawrence of Arabia and I was completely blown away by the desert scenes - the vastness, the...

    Joke shop nostalgia

As kids we used to roam all over town - remember us wondering whether we could fish out all the pennies from the fountain in the precinct. There were also coins pressed into the floor of the cathedral which we were fascinated by. Haven't been back for years and I expect they have been worn...

    Things that annoy you

Always do my own plumbing - it requires no skill (otherwise I couldn't do it) and nowadays it's all push fit plastic so very straightforward. Have just plumbed in my daughter's bathroom and kitchen. Very few tools are needed - a pipe cutter and adjustable spanners being the main ones, blowtorch...

    Social Media

Don't use Twitter, Instagram mainly because it would take time out of my life as I'm sure I would find plenty of interesting people to follow etc. Only use Facebook for my very small business as a lot of people do and leads to the absurdity of business's having websites and Facebook pages...

    Cardiff city

Remember being at a home match soon after George Best had died. There was a minute's applause which was all that was needed. I was with my dad and brother and felt the bond that football fans can feel when a great player has died. This seemed more fitting than all the outpouring of grief which...

    Why Strikers Miss Goals ?

Ferguson and Wallace - our top scoring side in the top flight. Always a massive roar went up when we won a corner, flick ons, knock downs, spilled crosses - meat and drink to the dynamic duo.
