Our chances of success this coming season...

    1. We have the most proven manager, though I like Cooper at Swindon and Adkins has a strong record at this level. 2. I think we will be top 6/7 - however you would think Wigan with parachute payments. I'd agree with another poster that Blackpool should be up there too, for the same reason...

What do you know about Haris Vuckic ?

Norwich and Watford in for him? That can't be true. He's completely unproven at Premier League level, in fact he's not even played at championship standard. Why would they go in for him? It'd be an okay signing for us, but no better than that. The only positive is that he's young so you...

Players 'we' thought were shit but....

Some awful shouts on here. Henderson was unbelievable when on loan here. Tabb was very good, won fans player of the year in his last season if I remember correctly. Jack Cork was a youngster when on loan and I seem to remember him being our best player on a number of occasions...

    What next

I'd like to think we can get over 20 again. Saturday instead of a Friday and not on Sky - plus continued momentum through results and the Ricoh novelty effect!

    The Academy

Makes you wonder if it is our academy in particular or Pressley just affording the youth an opportunity, and then handling their development in the correct manner

Gillingham Match Thread - The Ricoh Return

Thomas, much criticised this season, was not diabolical - had a very decent game, offered a lot of composure and calmness on the ball. Agreed on Tudgay though, looked unfit and off the pace - perhaps not the player he once was!

    Gaël Bigirimana

No I couldn't name a game that was played almost 3 years ago. I generally thought he was a talented player, based on all the games he played for us. I do remember a pre-season friendly (Leamington) where he was 17 and dominated the game. He commanded the ball from the senior players and...

    The pressing game

I think football moves in paradigms and is obviously a progressive sport which is continually innovating tactically. In 2005-2009, the power and pace of the Premier League and English football was dominant and players like Gerrard and Essien were considered some of the best in the world. The...

    Four out, none in

Definitely Pressley just saying it how it is. He's absolutely right to put faith in those players, this team could easily win 7/8 of the next 10 games. Why gamble and change it with a loan player? Obviously it's a small squad so could be hampered, but he didn't rule out permanent additions!

    PFA Out of Contract List

Chris Baird going to QPR. If there's a decent centre back on their we could have I'd go for them, don't think we desperately need anyone else.

    Telegraph article

Not going to Northampton certainly registers your dissatisfaction at the move, and the owners are fully aware that Coventry fans aren't happy playing in Northampton. However in terms of a protest I don't see what not going achieves, other than the aforementioned. I understand fans are skeptical...

    Telegraph article

I'm not suggesting that they will listen, but at least we'd give them something to listen to. If they can cope with the losses, which as far as we know, they can, then what is the point of the NOPM campaign? Surely it becomes redundant? A silent protest doesn't do much good, therefore I think...

    Telegraph article

At least the article offers a reasonably objective view. He's right, we should sell out Northampton, and protest against SISU/ACL at the game. If we did that we would show how strong the fans are at this club. As it is, we're not going, which does absolutely...nothing. The media noted it at...

    Weak Minded Fans...

So you don't have a problem with anyone who goes, but believe they are 'selfish' and 'weak-minded!? I feel for your mate, it's a terrible state of affairs, I'm not denying that. It's unfortunate that he and others can't go, but that still doesn't give other fans the right to take a 'holier than...
