    Oh Deary me ?

I see the 3 teams who got promoted have been instantly relegated too. Anyone told the Wolves fans?

    Sir Steve Waggott

Sisu knew they had to climb down as they had run out of options, thanks to the ones who refused to go along with the Northampton fiasco. Waggott was the only one who had any shred of credibility left. Fisher & Co would not have ever managed to get anything sorted as they were so entrenched...

    Ticket Chaos ???

Very fair comment. We still have our old season ticket cards which is why I say it would be easier to sort it out that way. I could cope with some random seat for the Gillingham game in the meantime.

    We're Coming Home, Are You?

I've already answered this really. No, it doesn't have to be exactly the same seat. But we want to go back to the same bit as before, hopefully with the same regulars who were there before. As it happens, I had the same seat for every Ricoh game, and the same one at HR for the 38 years before...

    Ticket Chaos ???

Agree totally. We have decided that if we can get our old seats in Block 19, or very close to them, we shall have season tickets. Surely they can see it makes sense to do this. If they don't allow people to do this, we shall just buy tickets for Gillingham and cherry-pick our games for the...

...for 2 years plus a 2 year extension?

I reckon the appeal will eventually just fizzle out. They will be told that they don't have a leg to stand on, which they must surely know already if they have a brain cell between them. I am also certain that the mythical new stadium will fade into the mists of time too. No serious...

    How young is too young

My daughter was 3 or 4 when I first took her to a game. It was a reserve game at Highfield Road so of no consequence as a match, and I arranged to take her home at half time and go back, which worked well. She was fine, so her first proper game was in the West Stand aged about 6. She loved it...

    We're Coming Home, Are You?

Yes, of course. What I don't want is to be sat in a different area. There are only 4 rows in the little section where we sat in block 19, so we will be happy to sit anywhere in there. My real point is that former ST holders should be allowed to retain and renew their old seats as if the...

    Meanwhile in Sunderland...

The really stupid part of this saga is that their fans believe the urban myth of what happened on that night in 1977, not the genuine version. The game was only delayed for 6 minutes and it was nothing to do with Jimmy Hill. When the teams called a truce near the end, it was a chance we took...

    We're Coming Home, Are You?

Wife and I will be there for the Gillingham game. What happens after that depends largely on how the club handle the situation. We will buy season tickets as long as we are able to have the seats we had before, hoping that if they do that the other people will do the same. If they say we have...

    Ticketing Structure

I've been talking to some other former ST holders and the conclusion is that, in order to maximise the take-up, the club should offer all Ricoh ST holders their old seats back. Many people were used to sitting with the same people every game but had no other contact with them so have lost...

    Ticketing Structure

This is the real point. A one-off jolly against Gillingham is fine. But the big deal is to get the ST holders back, so there needs to be some goodwill in the pricing structure. Many people (me included) have got out of the 'Saturday habit' and do other things. The club have to offer an...

    Ticketing Structure

It all depends how they choose to play it. Since leaving the Ricoh I have become a 'senior'. If they are taking seniors in the centre blocks I may get a ST. When we left the deal was that existing ST holders could become seniors there but new ones could only buy elsewhere. We shall see.

    Predict the Gate

Delighted it's on the Friday. That means we can go. We are otherwise engaged on the Saturday.

    We're back!

I sympathise with your point. But we are now just a small club in the 3rd tier with tiny crowds. I'm afraid that most football supporters have no great knowledge of our saga and even less interest. The domestic game is completely dominated by what happens in the moneyfest that is the Premier...

    We're back!

Excellent news if we are back at the Ricoh in September. This madness had gone on long enough. The crowd for the first game should be about 18000 I reckon. Unfortunately we are away that day so it won't include us. As far as having a season ticket again, I don't think that will happen...

    Roy O'Donovan

I have double checked and, nope, it is not April 1st.

    Jpt Wycombe away

Bobby Gould was the manager, it was just at the end of his second spell. He resigned a couple of weeks later after a 5-1 hammering at QPR, allegedly in the bog, and Phil Neal took over.

    Jpt Wycombe away

I remember going to Adams Park in 1993 with a Wycombe-supporting workmate when we were nearly dumped out of the league cup despite having a 3-0 first leg lead. They had only just come into the League and we were in the Premier but they murdered us. They won 3-0 to take it to extra time and...

    When City sold Hudson

Your memory is playing a few tricks there. It was right that Wilf Smith was carried off 5 minutes into his debut, and we were soon 2-0 down. But we battled back to 2-2 by half time and then led 3-2. They equalised and then Glazier saved a penalty, before Willie Carr scored the winner right at...
