Noise from the players is deafening

Not sure John Taylor seems to be occupied more on the commercial side. Match day operations, retail and ticketing. I might be wrong which is why I asked. We’ve expanded so it’s not just looking at Robins and Boddy when things go wrong.

Noise from the players is deafening

Said it on another post but I don’t get the structure of the club. There’s Head Coach, Performance Director then Head of Recruitment. Are they all equal or is one above the others? In that sort of setup I’d expect a director of football but looks like they all report to Doug independently; Doug...

Would like him to be asked what our coaching setup is and who oversees it. We don’t have a director of football so who sits above the Head Coach other than Doug and therefore makes the decisions on the setup. Are the performance director, Head of Recruitment and Head Coach all at the same level...

Right who's the next manager then?

Surely they know who they're targeting/giving it too? Cant see them sacking MR with only the Sunderland game before the international break if they didn't have someone lined up. Was worried we'd give it George or Delaney but with Carr put in interim charge that looks like none of the current...

    Robins Out Poll pt3

In but I do think we’re coming close to the end. The fixtures up to the international break look ominous. If Doug is going to make a change you’d have to say that’s the logical point. Reset with no fixtures and then the new man has time to asses the squad before the transfer window. Don’t want...

    Time's Up

Gutted to say it but think the end is nigh. Just don’t see things changing and think he’s probably got until the Sunderland game. The group seem to be sinking without the characters of old to steady the ship. It’s not a lost cause yet but think Doug is going to make a change sooner or later.

Poll: Robins In or Out? Part 2

In for me but I do think where we are after Sunderland is make or break. The problem for me is that I don’t think any manager will do better with this group of players. Not sure we have much option for formation change either with the personnel we’ve got. Said it on another thread but if King...

    Sheaf

You can see the decent pros on the pitch, Sheaf,Eccles,Bidwell and Rudoni even when not on the top of their game show some desire. Wright,Simms e.t.c just look disinterested. the sort of players that drive you mad because they have the ability.

    EMC

Watched posh a lot last year and he looked class so think there is a player in there. Would like to see him get a string of games in his preferred position but with Hadji first choice looks unlikely.

When can we make a judgement?

Yes and I can’t see Doug paying them all off. I think he’d give the current coaching setup a go first before having to acknowledge it’s wank.

When can we make a judgement?

Yes i can see Doug doing it if he didn’t he’d be admitting they ain’t up to it. Not sure Doug likes to admit he’s wrong.

When can we make a judgement?

Not sure if it’s him or the other coaches. But that’s why I want them exposed if MR goes. We ain’t getting rid of the players, the manager will carry the can. So if Doug does pull the trigger let’s see his new boys step up.

When can we make a judgement?

Sunderland away before the next international break. Think that’s 6 more games. If it stays as is then I think the plug will be pulled unfortunately. If they do I hope they promote Boatang and give him til the the January window to see if the new coaching regime has any ideas. Then if they...

Match Thread Coventry City-SWFC Match Thread- Saturday 5th October

MR isn’t blameless but this group of players is really becoming unlikeable. Having played well Tuesday we got Hadji Shite today. Kitching is a disaster waiting to happen. EMC might as well not have been on the pitch. Simms when he came on and having been dropped couldn’t be bothered to run...

Match Thread Leeds United - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 28th Sep

Don’t know who’s to blame? Robins as manager? Dean Austin for not getting the midfielder we needed? Dr Roberts as the players don’t look conditioned for football? The players have to take responsibility but at the same time they don’t look like bad eggs so what is it with the new coaching...

Poll: Should Robins Stay Or Should He Go Now?

He deserves the time to sort it out. Despite our performances I’d be surprised if we end up in a relegation battle. I think with Sheaf back and when Simms and Hadji wake up we’ll be mid table. That said I do have the feeling he’ll go at the end of the season, he’s done a good job but looks...

Match Thread Coventry City - Swansea City Match Thread - Saturday 21st Sep

You can see that on the pitch there’s no communication from the players, no snarl and no bite. There’s a reason MR isn’t playing Kitching and ditched Colllins so attitude sounds about right. Adi was a presence on the sidelines but the new coaches don’t seem to be offering anything. If players...
