Questions for Waggott and Fisher at the Trust open meeting

That's an interesting response from fisher - they're not against it? Is that because it may be easier to negotiate with new owners than the council?

Grendel what's your idea for the club to progress and how do the current owners fund it?

So if your the council and sisu aren't going anywhere how long do you sit tight for? Understand and agree with some of your points but for me the only way I see the situation changing is if something happens to force the issue. My hope is this is it.

Serious question torch -how do you think we get out of the current malaise and do you think sisu are the people to action that plan?

Save for a jack walker what football club owner isn't in it to make money. There's the odd local business man made good but those people tend to end up having to sell because of the running costs. While I don't doubt the consortium expects a return from us and wasps the only way they manage...

It does have potential to be an asset but not with our current owners who have made no attempt to grow the club but who also won't walk away from it. So we're stuck in Groundhog Day until there's a game changer. Could this be it? My hope is that the consortium trying to buy acl will bid for...

It means a great deal to me but the Coventry today is very different to the coventry of 1987. If we were to win the fa cup don't doubt those numbers would be on the streets again but as a coventry fan you know as well as I do we don't have 250,000 fans in the city if we did we wouldn't be in the...

It's not ideal that a club has to move to survive and its a sad reflection of modern sport. I might have been brought up in Finham but due to hard times I can't afford my mortgage so I move to nuneaton, I'd rather not as I'd like to stay close to my roots but i can't afford to - is that right or...

Dispels some of the argument about it being the death knell for cov rugby. Getting a bit annoyed with some of the outrage from our fans - our owners have stated they don't want to buy the ricoh, Wasps need a ground to survive and seem prepared to bid. The council have a obligation to consider...

Yes I've been on the wasps boards and whilst more are against than for there also seems to be number who aren't from London and picked wasps based on england players rather than a geographical link to the club and who seem prepared to accept it if it means the club survives. Not sure if this is...

Just seen rosborough from coventry rugby interviewed on Sky and he didn't seem as opposed as you might expect. Was quite complimentary about wasps and their chairman Richardson so makes you wonder if he knows more about the situation or sees an opportunity for coventry to partnership with wasps.

I'd love for ccfc to own the ricoh or acl but our owners have stated they don't want it therefore what are ccc supposed to do? An offer like this may not come again - wasps are probably as big a sporting club as your likely to get wanting to move so the council have to consider it with head and...

I don't doubt coventry rugby will still survive either and may end up with a similar agreement to the one they have with Worcester. Premiership rugby in England has increasingly become closed shop despite relegation from the top flight. Like I say totally understand wasp fans being upset but...

It's a different situation to us and Wimbledon in my eyes. Not great for their current fans although the history of wasps has always been nomadic- they've played in many different boroughs of London and outside the capital for over ten years. They can't afford a stadium in London having tried...

But our club owners say they don't want it so the council have a responsibility to the citizens of coventry to consider the sale. Personally I think it would be a bad move for wasps as coventry isn't a hot bed for football let alone rugby anymore unless birmingham & warwickshire union fans...

Don't get what right we have to challenge this when our owners have made a statement that they don't want to bid. Regardless of the undoubted ethics of a club moving to another city ( although wasps left london over ten years ago) if the deal is financially sound the council have a...

    Who would have Primacy?

I think people are overplaying the chance of wasps wanting us out of the stadium if they own it. Having both a football and rugby club at the stadium would dramatically increase the site profitability. A new majority owner of acl may make it easier for sisu to buy into the stadium company.

    Who would have Primacy?

I don't see it in the same light as Wimbledon moving to MK. Bad news for coventry rugby although the truth is they've not been a well supported club for many years. Hypothetically if wasps reformed in coventry and rose through the leagues would it be acceptable? Wasps have been struggling for...
