Our team seem to manage it.

    Coventry RFC Thread 18/19

Slightly off topic but a shout out to the Coventry Blaze who have seemingly put out their best team in years. The last 2 weeks they have beaten Sheffield 5-1, and last Sunday they beat Belfast 6-1. Two teams they couldn't beat for love or money last year. In Marc O Vallerand they have a real...

Not at our best today, but to get maximum points was a bonus, particularly with Darlington losing and I believe Plymouth missing out on a bonus point. Still unbeaten and we now sit proudly at the top. Lots of injuries today and with the 'incident' in the crowd it made for a disjointed game...

    The official NFL Thread

Except he hasn't polling showed around 65% oppose the Kneeling boycott. Indeed there has been such a huge backlash across the USA from NFL fans ripping up their season tickets, they are calling the NFL the no fans league, An article in (I think) the Washington Post shows ticket sales are down...

None of the injuries looked too serious mind you its often hard to tell with rugby players. Indeed some players were replaced only to return to the game later on. The game is so attritional that at times it resembles a battlefield.

Decent game today, perhaps not the same intensity as the Moseley game, but convincing winners in the end. Feel that Plymouth will be our biggest challengers this season, need to make sure we grind out results against the lesser teams.

Bizarre that Darlington are top with 3 bonus points, and yet I believe have won 2 of their games by 1 point. Big game for Cov this Saturday, really looking forward to it, confident we can beat Blackheath and go back to top spot by Saturday evening.

Have we sold 5000 season tickets ?

Had a season ticket (Northampton aside) upto the start of this season. Have been to 1 game, Grimsby away which actually wasn't a bad game/day out. But this season we made the decision to go and watch Coventry Rugby on a regular basis, and the contrast couldn't be more stark. We finally realised...

Yep superb performance from start to finish, some great tries and this team looks the real deal. Obviously pleased that CCFC won as well to end a perfect afternoon, but in terms of entertainment, the best place to be was undoubtedly the Butts. The crowd I believe was given as about 2100, but to...

I so hope your right, hopefully Carr will have fully recovered from his broken leg, he has all the ingredients to be the outstanding quarterback. Love the description last year of Khalil Mack as a 1 man wrecking machine, again a player who seems destined to be an all time great. The Raiders have...

This promo is a virtual carbon copy of the Coventry Blaze's intro from last season. But you are dead right tomorrow's match should be an absolute cracker. Will be interesting if they can breach the 3,000 attendance figure.I believe all the hospitality is sold out.

Started going a bit the year we went to Northampton. 2 years ago we went when we were away, and we really enjoyed the games, last season was the same, until finally we actually paid to go to the Butts even though we had CCFC season tickets. This season have dropped the CCFC season ticket, and...

    CCFC Deadline Day Deals

Oops sorry, yes your right TM did prefer RCC, only excuse was that last season was so forgettable that I thought Burge had started the season. So just 3 of the 4 managers then. But most fans talk of their trust of Robin's judgement, although whether that last too much longer is a mute point, many...

    CCFC Deadline Day Deals

Yet all 4 managers we had last year, all clearly preferred Burge. Indeed Robins who most fans seemingly rate,(well currently at least), clearly didn't rate Cooke at all, hence the addition of O'Brien. It is true a number of dedicated posters clearly hated Burge, and preferred Cooke,I'm not sure...

Where are we playing next season?

Whilst Wasps undoubtedly want CCFC at the Ricoh, I would be amazed if they really want SISU there. The nearer we get to next season, the more pressure mounts on SISU, Wasps are under no pressure as they own the ground, and I doubt they are worried by any protests by our fans. The chance to build...

    Next 6 Fixtures

Whilst its fair to say we are not a massive club,we are clearly a massive club in this division. Indeed it is probably the first time in our entire history that we are the biggest club in the division we are playing in. Even if you add in the big negative impact SISU have on our club, if we...

    Did Sisu appeal?

I'm not sure many football fans would look forward to sitting in uncovered temporary stands in the middle of winter. It is one thing to sit in a temporary stand at the Open Championship in the middle of July, than sitting in a temporary stand for a January mid week game, when it is freezing and...

    Did Sisu appeal?

Have been to see Cov Rugby many times over the past 3 years, and whilst ok for league 1 Rugby,it would be completely unsuited for a FL team. There are just 2 turnstiles, which are a throwback to the 1960's, totally unsuitable for a football club. There is no segregation in the ground, and to...

    Did Sisu appeal?

Agree, some people seem more concerned about Wasps agreeing a new stadium sponsor, than the real worry, which is where are we going to be playing in 12 months time. Who in their right mind would want SISU as long term tenants. We are constantly being told that ever fans desperately want SISU gone...

    Did Sisu appeal?

I didn't say Wasps don't want CCFC there, its just they don't want SISU there. Hoffman has already stated that he sees no problem with his consortium doing a deal with Wasps. Perhaps there is a deal available to Hoffman's group, that won't be available to SISU. You could hardly blame Wasps if that...
