    Robins / Sky Interview

We made our own luck. Over the two legs we created more, better chances than Notts County did. The decisions that went against them were significant insofar as they needed all of them to go their way in order for them to remain competitive in the tie, whereas the ones that went against us ended...

Playoffs not being shown on iFollow

Yeah, I’ll probably do that. I’m actually quite looking forward to watching a match with some commentary and audio that isn’t 5 seconds behind the action, will make a change from the usual iFollow experience.

Playoffs not being shown on iFollow

ESPN have got the Championship, L1, and L2 rights, but since they launched ESPN+ you can only watch the matches online. All the bars round here just show what’s on the main sports channels on cable.

Playoffs not being shown on iFollow

Near Baltimore. Thankfully not that long a trip to get to any bar, but League Two football is not a particularly big draw in the US, and it’s 8 hours back to the UK.

Playoffs not being shown on iFollow

I would, but the 16+ hour round trip to get to the nearest bar showing the match might not be worth it.

Playoffs not being shown on iFollow

Having looked into this a bit more (I’m at home with a newborn so have a lot of spare time), if there’s anyone else here living in the US you can watch the playoffs on ESPN+ Stream Live Sports, which costs $5 a month but there’s a 7 day free trial, which covers both legs of the semis.

Playoffs not being shown on iFollow

For those of us who don't live in the UK... I emailed iFollow support to ask if the video stream for the playoff games will be available for overseas subscribers and got this reply: :( Hopefully it'll be easy enough to find a stream elsewhere.

    iFollow issues?

From 2019 it sounds like UK-based iFollow subscribers will be able to watch matches that are not played on Saturday at 3pm: EFL clubs able to live stream midweek matches from 2019 following £600m TV deal, but Premier League unlikely to follow

We look beaten, not keeping the ball at all now.

Burge came out to smother the shot, clattered into Grimmer and their player, ball fell free for Palmer to tuck in.

Rhead is obviously very strong in the air, but our consistent failure to win the second ball is poor.

This narrow midfield shape means that we're reliant on the fullbacks for width. Unfortunately both of them have had very poor games, attacking and defending.

And you could ask why that situation arose from a straight punt up the field from their keeper.

Willis didn’t really do very much, their forward was smart and ran across him, made sure there was contact and went down. Massive deflection on the free kick and it trickles into net.

    Its a Mans League

But really the issue with a young squad is consistency, getting the job done week in week out, and that's been a problem for years.

Nice pass from Shipley to Jones for the goal. Lincoln hit the bar from header from free kick.

Match Thread Grimsby Town - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 12th Aug

I don't see how the 10 yard thing matters. Free kicks are taken all the time where there's an opposition player within 10 yards, especially around the middle of the pitch. If the team taking the kick is bothered then they can ask the ref to get the player to move back, but if they don't do that...

Has thIs iFollow malarkey launched yet ?

The video quality was decent enough, there wasn't any buffering at any point. I'm not accessing through a VPN though, I just live in the US. It is a bit of a strange experience watching a match from a single camera angle, without even a clock or score in the corner, but it's still a great...
