Players you didn't like till they signed for CCFC

Maurice Setters - he was notoriously good at the dark arts at Manchester United. He was like a battering ram when he played in our defence - no centre-forward would have enjoyed being marked by him.

    Crewe player?

OK - what I was getting at was that I don't think it would be wise, (no pun intended), to play 5'6" Tom Lowery alongside 5'6" Gustavo Hamer in our mid-field in the Championship.

    Crewe player?

    Another 5' 6" mid-fielder - no thanks.

    Declan Drysdale

He looks so assured when bringing the ball out of defence, but sometimes his passes go astray, putting the defence under pressure.. I agree he needs to be more physical and he could do with another yard of pace to compete at Championship level. Overall, he's a great prospect.

‘If’ we are promoted what do we need to compete in Championship?

Pask is certainly our quickest central defender, (I do not see his main position as RWB), and hopefully he'll be good enough to replace McFadzean. At LWB, there's the possibility of signing Giles from Wolves - depends whether he did enough to impress Robins and whether Wolves want to loan him...

After the Elation - The questions

I agree. The reason is that playing BCD just does not stack up financially. It results in considerable costs, with very little additional income to balance them. The Premier clubs will try to do it, in an attempt to reduce Sky's massive claim for a refund of TV rights dosh. Sky are claiming...

City's Hardest XI - Take No Prisoners

George Curtis followed by Stuart Pearce and Maurice Setters. I could never work out whether Brian Lewis was hard, or just recklessly dirty. Does anyone remember him?

    Bright Enobakahre

I'm sorry to hear that Greggs. He will be fondly remembered on SBT.

    Robins post match/mcallum sale

And potentially, I believe Joe Newton is an even better defender, but right now he needs more U23 game time to develop as a wing back. His tackles are crunching - but sometimes a bit risky. Mason is vulnerable - he struggles to defend high diagonal balls.

**ALL USERS READ THIS, ACTION REQUIRED ASAP** - Sky Blues Talk forum statement

Exactly. As much as CCC might want to wash their hands of it, this will not be an option if the European Commission decides that state aid regulations have been breached. Does anyone have any information on when the EC investigation into the CCFC complaint is likely to be completed?
