    pre season tourof holland

Door to door about 8 hours, tunnel takes about 35 mins but have to arrive about 30 mins early for your crossing, the worst traffic will be M25 but once in kent tends to be clear all the way to the tunnel if never been to Brugge worth a no traffic in France, Belgium clear untill Antwerp ring...

    pre season tourof holland

It is easy, the tunnel allows you to join the motorway straight away, its non-stop motorway past dunkirk into Belgium, which you can speed through up to the Antwerp ring road then a choice of motorways in Holland to get to Gelderland. The film a bridge too far is based on arnhem, there are some...

    pre season tourof holland

Driven to nijmegen from Coventry many times and is a cheap way of doing it if there are a few in the car. About 3 hours to the tunnel and about another 3 hours to Nijmegen / arnhem (Gelderland). Stop off it Brugges for a bit of culture. It is toll free journey Call into Auchan Calais for some...

    pre season tourof holland

Think of that sketch from Carry on up the Khyber where the officers are having dinner whilst a battle rages on outside. SISU are here for a long time I fear. Fisher & Waggot could have had an impact if here from 2007 but I fear they have lost all the confidence of most of the SBA and when...

    Trust Question

I have stated this on an earlier post. worked for a company that was taken over by a hedge, the were ruthless but they were determined with a strategy and they succeeded in making a profit when selling the company 2 years later. Their main war cry was that they would get us into the...

    second bid for city

Having worked for a company taken over by a hedge fund, Joe like most people would have been impressed by their single minded determination and if they said they would get us to the premiership i would have believed them, again I would have expected them to have had a strategy and had done...

    Question regarding sisu

sisu investing £30m in a new stadium is just bluster, since their initial investment in 2007 they have are in profit on player sales but this is less than the continual operating losses. There is an amicable rent that could be agreed but IMO SISU are never going to invest sufficiently to allow...

    Coventry United FC

don't understand the relevance of this post to this board. If there is to be a breakaway club then yes good idea etc.. if they want to set up a club which will be even lower than Cov sphinx are now then go for it but its hardly a viable alternative to watching professional football as for the...

    Joe Elliott

Uncle joe may have made mistakes, like the best of us but as much as the SBT and the rest of the other long suffering fans do, its serious money that will resolve this and he has access to these type of people. give him a break we needhim now more than ever.

    'Highfield Two'

ansty is a dreadful location for a stadium, it re-defines out of town. How many residents can actually walk to the ground ? what is the nearest pub, possibly the hilton hotel but even then its a good walk along a dual carriageway.

Ideas thread to piss off sisu....

I think parody / humour is the best. The original downfall sketch where hitler is b0llocking his generals that newcastle used to take the pi$$ out of blunderland was classic. I think Carry on up the Khyber sketch where ll the officers are around the dinner table acting normally whilst all...

So you need another ground ........ Rotherham did it

The Rotherham model is so different - old ground, they moved only 5 miles and the council supported the new stadium. The fans were also right behind the club.

    Club Statement

agreed ownership of the stadium is vital but and its a big but, since their initial investment in 2007 up to the summer of 2009 when they stopped investing in the squad - what makes you think they will invest 30 - 40m in a new stadium which won't be there for another 3/4 seasons. Just hot air.

Latest: Fisher says 'no chance' of CCFC playing at Ricoh

We will see how in control they feel with 2000 fans at a midweek game next winter.

Latest: Fisher says 'no chance' of CCFC playing at Ricoh

Inside track - Sisu aren't calling the shots they may have outmanoeuvred ACL PH4 with this administration but they will never get the Ricoh, they have a club losing money with no assets. ACL & the Council will take this personally and will fight them whilst our club drifts.

We should start planning a Phoenix club...

1 year in the last 50 in the third tier sounds ok but if you plot a graph of our league standing in the last 6 seasons under Shitsu there is a clear downward trend. Our next few years will be in this division or lower. What is the alternative stick with Sisu as they don't have our best...

No I think it should be the Ricoh but Butts would be a better atmosphere. Today feels like a bereavement.

We should start planning a Phoenix club...

Sell the stadium to PH4. Don't let CCFC play there. Allow sphinx to play there hopefully they will rise through the leagues as CCFC get relegated risk going under as they play in front of 1,500 at Nene Park then see if they will sell up. Never thought I would talk about my "beloved" club like...

PH4 - the new messiah, or a very naughty boy

Sisu were "encouraged" by RR to believing that with a few £m they would get to the premiership, and having bought the 50% share of the ACL could sell on for a nice tidy profit. Their due diligence was naive, they have had no strategy ph4 will learn from such mistakes but he won't get the club...
