    Team atm.

KG, yes forgot that Kilbane versatility. When you think about it right back needs the cover, though Willis could play there. A bit of power in CM and up front sorely needed.

    Team atm.

Not counting Keogh and counting in Fleck, that's 16 what I'd call senior players. And I'm counting Thomas in that number & discounting Christie for now - out til Xmas. The rest are kids. Need left back cover. A central midfielder with experience. And two more strikers, preferably big blokes. As...

    Possible loan signings?

Shmmeee, definitely agree. A big striker is no 1 priority. Goals win games and something to lift the fan's spirits. Elliott & Cody need a big guy to get knock downs.

    name that keeps popping up

Heskey simply doesn't score many goals. To be honest Akinfenwa is a more realistic prospect. Proven at lower level, and he certainly has the big man physique that we need. His wages wouldn't be a problem. Not saying he's the greatest, but as a partner for Cody he fits the bill.

    Informed Decisions?

I made an informed decision as an eight your old back in 1959. There as ever.

    New signing?

Interesting comments from Ben Herd - rumoured to have been coming here from Aldershot- Now signed a new contract there. This is part of what he had to say on BBC football site today. "They [League One club] offered me quite a good deal but there was something I felt wasn't quite right about it...

Auditors raise concernc over CCFC Finances

    Norwood to Barnsley?

Dongonzalos, this is what you said. Don't move the goalposts. "Their announcement about bounce budgets to snare the 5000." There are so many sick notes on here, all looking for excuses. Supporters my arse. All making 'informed decisions.' Yeah right. Fair weathers more like it.

    Norwood to Barnsley?

dongonzalos, I'm one of the reported 5,000 fans that you say have been snared by 'bounce budgets.' What a load of tripe. I've been 'snared' by nobody. I love supporting my team as I have done since 1959.. Don't be so smug. I'll be there in August and happy to be supporting my team. So will my...

    Our Fans

Skybluebaker, nice to read a bit of idealism & optimism on these mostly cynical pages. Hang onto your dreams kid. Was going to say City Reserves would be my second team, but... Like you I'm hopeful. When I was 16 Jimmy Hill was just about to guide City into the First Division (Premier League)...

    The Chinaman Has Not Disappeared

Glazier, (what a good alias!) Sky Blue Kid, Brighton, all long distance fans, I salute you. Keeping the enthusiasm going from miles away and in these testing times is brilliant. Going to any games must cost a fortune. I've lived away from Coventry once or twice and kept coming but it was...

    The Chinaman Has Not Disappeared

If you don't go (see exclusion list, unemployed, live far away etc - posted earlier) and you choose not to support your team then not only are you not a good supporter - you're not a supporter at all. This isn't aimed at you Sky Blue Kid, you're making it personal. I don't know you, you're...

    The Chinaman Has Not Disappeared

Sky Blue Kid, supporters should support. Good fans = good team.

    The Chinaman Has Not Disappeared

BrightonSkyblue, those fans who travel and every game is an away game for them are brilliant. Football can be expensive, especially for the beer and pie brigade. Though beats me why anyone would want to be blind drunk at a match (and they are) - but that's another issue. I'm not going to...

    The Chinaman Has Not Disappeared

In a city the size of Coventry the crowds are shockingly low. A pity that more don't take the view that if we all stick together, support the team, we can make this team a good one again. I've said it on here before - and apologies for harking back to a figure from the past - 'You can beat a...

    The Chinaman Has Not Disappeared

1Nil, the argument from me is that the 'sicknotes' as I call them are one part of the problem. And I'd agree with you that a good number of posters on here don't represent the views of the average City fan, thank god for that. We'd have far worse troubles if we did. But can't you see that if...

    The Chinaman Has Not Disappeared

Hotrod, Brighton, I can't see my team as a 'product.' I've got an emotional tie with them - it bothers me when we don't do well. I'm not as far gone as that character Michael Palin played in 'Ripping Yarns' who smashed his house up when his team lost mind! You see, what I'm getting at is that...

    The Chinaman Has Not Disappeared

Brighton, Glazier, nothing personal. & obviously I don't expect fans who live further than 50 miles away to physically support their team week in week out. Your long distance support of your team is commendable. The 'Sicknotes' I'm having a go at are the locals, the ones who choose not to come...

    The Chinaman Has Not Disappeared

Brighton Sky Blue, with respect, various boards over the past few years/decades have failed to deliver because we have such poor support considering the size of the city. When City won the cup 12,000 something turned up for the game against Bolton. Loads of other examples. What do you expect the...
