Fisher on AT's sacking, BBC CWR, 8am Monday Morning

He sounds passionate. He's right - a winner with winning mentality. It hasn't been good enough to 'accept' this is it, we're as good as it can be.

my vote would be Gordan Strachan or Dennis Wise

I personally would have Strach back. However, as this forum has proved the last few months we need someone who will drag the squad and fan base back together. A new man with promise and 'general' appeal. Not love or hate like Strach, Blackwell, etc. who though...I dunno!

    tune in 3pm CWR

Excuse me, he's had several personal calls with AT today that he won't be sharing with YOU!! ;)

    Cunning SISU?!

People say he's a great scout, yes? He has good contacts and can pick up good free transfers? He's then oddly sacked after 3 games instead of after relegation. Have they only kept him on over summer for scouting of players to budget and now he's dispensable? Just a thought...

    Andy thorn has been sacked

He's already tweeted for people to tune in and listen to him with the news...as he calls in on the breakfast phone in on C and W tomorrow. I'd rather listen to someone important.

But you said they'd 'funded' us, which suggests putting money in. I think they've made more cuts and have not added more financially.

I am sure the wage bill is down, they've changed bonuses in contracts, they have paid one nominal fee and they haven't paid the rent. Possibly their least funded season so far.

    Thorn sacked tonight

Plus, as many have said, you do the best with what you've got. I truly believe he hasn't. How can a team get into winning positions so often? Kids not hardened enough? Maybe. Or the wrong tactics, no ability to change and a stubbornness on a system that just doesn't work! He said himself he sent...

    Thorn sacked tonight

I sit in Block 20. At the end yesterday, many booed. Also, many shouted at Thorn. I shouted 'you are clueless' and how many times do we have to put up with this diamond and letting things slip away? - cretin!' Other shouts from near me were 'time to go' 'p**s off Thorn' and shouts about him...

    Thorn sacked tonight

On a side note, and with no chairman, does Fisher actually have the authority to sack a manager? Who else is on the board with him and Clarky Bunter?

    Thorn sacked tonight

Btw, I think he is full of it as he likes to think he's a counselled ear so I listen to him in a sarcastic way. Just saying what he said tonight. The end. No venom, no superiority, just adding on a loose thing I heard on a sharing forum. That ok?

    Thorn sacked tonight

I mean someone who is in and around the board members on match days said in pub. I am only passing on - as I said not saying its gospel. I know as much as I hear. I don't know what anyone else knows.

    Thorn sacked tonight

And if he goes, it's defo Shaw and Carsley. This is from someone who likes to think they're in the know at club. Not sure how true, but just saying what I heard. This in no way means I believe it or have written proof.

Apparently, Stevenage is literally it. Last chance saloon.

    Praise to Thorn

This almost sums up all my feelings too - very, very well said.

    Stuart Linnell

So anyway, will he judge him after 10 games, 20 games or more? or will he never judge him? Or how dare anyone judge him? Andy Thorn; sponsored by the C and W Sports Desk.

    Clarke New Contract

Exactly what I wanted it to be! Ha ha. Quite like these emails though. Good idea.

    Clarke New Contract

Signed to 2014. Is that extension or improved? Seems short for a 20 year old.
