Phew...glad that's over. Made a mediocre Oxford side look good at times. Defence was...not great. Attack was decent, and 3 goal + pen is a good haul. Didn't have confidence in Ellis on pen if i'm being honest...short run up and soft shot ensued. At least it's a win, and results went our way...

We're actually the 2nd best team in the league over the last 6,8,10 and 12 league games (per soccer stats)...the Leeds game being the fly in the ointment.

I think i'm right in saying that Sunderland have a Cat 1 academy (elite), and we have a Cat 2, so they will almost certainly attract better youth talent. It's something which Doug and Frank will surely want to pursue in the medium term.

For 'that goal' tonight, there are other team members who should also shoulder some of the blame....maybe more of it. Bogle should have been tacked/stopped/fouled by at least 3 players before he even got into the area, and then Lati looks like he's going to lump it out (the correct choice)...
