Match Thread Coventry City - Burnley FC Match Thread - Saturday 5th Apr

Yeh we defo tend to hype teams on here i agree. There are a group of standout Championship teams but they are still Championship teams and not Real Madrid, that are certainly beatable by us, as a high ranking member of the chasing pack, especially at home. Think people are just on a downer...

Blog CCFC Analysis - Collins vs Wilson

Our keeper is injured, we're a non parachute Championship team. We're lucky to have 1 Dovin standard goalkeeper, there's really not much we can do. I'm not happy about it and it probably affects our top 6 aspirations, but its football, it happens.

    Luton game moved to 12:30

At least they didn't move it to midweek and condemn us to certain defeat again.

    Correctly Rated Players

    Shaw wasn't very good imo.

Nice bit of stat hunting FP.

Blog CCFC Analysis - Collins vs Wilson

I think Collins gaffs often look worse for the camera. Wilson has a knack of making it look like he had no chance but the reality is he's usually just taking up really bad positions and giving the attacker half the goal to aim at. 1 on 1s he usually makes up the attackers mind for them in a...

Until he was randomly dropped yes. Not so much after that. It was baffling at the time, i still don't get it.

I agree with this also although for me the turning point in his form was Robins dropping him last season at a point when he was doing pretty well. Wilson was brought in for a truly disastrous spell of, i want to say, 4 games, which were every bit as bad as Collins' low points this season, pretty...

I agree but its a low bar. I just hope the break has done him good as his confidence just looked done.

    Underrated players

I'm very much talking about McSheffrey 1.0, i don't even class the older guy that turned up for the second spell as the same player.

    Underrated players

Adebola, John, McSheffrey was entertaining stuff. McSheffrey might come under underrated too tbh, not at the time so much but now he doesn't get spoken about much when talking about old players (and don't get me wrong I hate where he moved to) but he was fucking quality.

    Underrated players

I get the feeling this will end up a troll thread, but seriously... Stern John Dele Adebola Currently feel Sakamoto is slightly underrated, he has some off games sure but people turn on him quick. Offers something different to anyone else and is one of the most exciting wingers in the division...

    Eight Years Ago

Yes, was a great day but just felt like a fun escape from reality at the time. Amazing to think i'd never watched us at Wembley but have seen us there a further 3 times since this day.

    Initial prognosis

We were fine without Wright, a lot more fine than i thought we would be. I know what you're saying but lets talk after we've played a few games without Dovin... let's just say i hope you are right and i'm wrong.

Match Thread Coventry City - Burnley FC Match Thread - Saturday 5th Apr

It's irrelevant, no one cares, just as no one apart from us cares we won a cup 40 years ago. Although when you are at the point where no one alive could possibly have seen it anymore, you really are grasping at straws if that's what you use to label yourself a 'big club'.

Bradford would probably be a more acceptable Prem team than at least Bournemouth and Brentford.

Match Thread Coventry City - Burnley FC Match Thread - Saturday 5th Apr

Big is an interesting one, for me it's a combination of fanbase, history, current status. History matters less and less the further you get away from it though, I'm fully aware that the likes of Preston, Sunderland and Wednesday won some shit before Hitler marched across Europe. But who really...

Yeh I agree, Bournemouth take the crown though so you kinda forget Brighton. Brentford get a pass with many too. Not with me..

Bournemouth can get to fuck. Would like to see them with their financial troubles of old, back in League 2 where they belong.
