Match Thread Coventry City - Burnley FC Match Thread - Saturday 5th Apr

We played ok today. Really frustrating. really don’t know what to say on the GK situation now. Agree with others, gone past point now with Collins, almost be more confident with bell, Tyler in sticks -(wouldn’t do that) but he’s shot. shame we were full value for point at least today.

    Initial prognosis

Cooper sheffield united keeper recently did ACL Courtois also in training to name 2.

    Initial prognosis

So many variables: - Depends what damage hes done (ACL) is quite broad statement, fingers crossed no additional damage than that. - Plus side being GK is less strain than outfield, so hopefully helps in recovery/when he does comeback - Surgeon makes big difference, although these days all pretty...

    Initial prognosis

That’s rubbish. Poor lad. As others have said however, things move quick, new NO.1 GK required in summer either perm or loan.

Sheaf is our captain and one of the best midfielders in the league when fully at it, yes not hit those heights. He drops in for Allen - hardly panic button stupid is it.And hardly ripping things up. Thats leaves the front 3 and rudoni as prime attacking options, that is and should be plenty...

Really fancy us to sneak this 1.0/2.1. Strong at home. Think Sheaf could be key, id be telling him to get out there and play like a captain, IF he can recapture that form, then that should help defence again with the screen. Rudoni > Torp Kitching > Binks JDS > Bidwell (Think bidwell only...

    Initial prognosis

A proper Ben sheaf also helps screening. About time he also turns up, hope Lampard sat him down and laid in on crystal clear. positive we win Saturday.

    Initial prognosis

This. all acknowledge neither are the ideal or the future as a no.1. BUT we have no choice now to select either, im torn, clearly Collins plays due to his feet which are better than BW, but he looks mentally done. We’ve got to just give them support. in addition this is far from terminal, we...

    Jake Bidwell

Possibly but there’s also players taking control. Even his output was poor, started 2nd half well, had 3/4 opportunities for decent ball in, nothing. anyway shouldn’t pick fault too much, onto next week.

Great points. Like Derby felt had to be same team, hindsight suggests different. Obviously easy after event but a learning. genuinely think we win next week, then that’s a superb run from these 3….folks gotta remain more balanced!! would also really help if the real Ben sheaf turned up now...

I agree….but we have little choice now. Suspect he gets nod simply over ability on ball, which is better than Wilson. Park last night, we are still going to do it.
