@shmmeee thanks for finding the article, MR says in the interview, “So it’s not an option to buy, more an obligation....." and “But like I say, there’s certain criteria to be met" I wonder what the criteria is though, number of starts, number of appereances...? What if Sheaf isn't...

I've never seen an article/interview with MR saying this? That would be worrying to me due to the price being reported was £750k!? I don't think Sheaf is worth anywhere near that and I'd prefer to have James in any case as I think he's a better all-round footballer and potential leader also.
