Dom Hyam - Blackburn bid ?

What’s the alternative model for us?

Match Thread ⚽️ Hull City vs Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 27th Aug

Truffling for positives: - Palmer put in an almighty shift there. Looked positive on the ball and matching O’Hares press off it. - Godden continues to look really sharp. If there were still any doubters about his ability at this level then I don’t know what more he can do for you. - Dabo had...

Dom Hyam - Blackburn bid ?

The timing is poor but surely this is our business model? Buy players to develop whilst also improving us and then sell for a profit. How else do we survive without selling players? He’s been a great pro and great business by us. Need the next one now and then rinse / repeat. Think some people...

    Season tickets

Yep! Not got mine either. I’m going straight from a wedding and already cutting it fine, could do without having to queue to get paper tickets

    Championship 22-23

Cullen is some player. Burnley will need goals from all over the pitch. They haven’t got a goal scorer and O’Hare isn’t the answer to that conundrum. I can see them grinding wins like tonight but they won’t be blitzing teams based on that. Think they’ll be play offs but not autos.

Sounds more like it was in his wife

If we keep the big 3 (4 including Sheaf)

I think mid-table would still be about right for us even with the same “big three” as last season. Still don’t think we have the strength in depth to sustain a play-off spot right to the end. Throw in a few injuries, which is inevitable over a season and we suddenly look very light. I wonder...

    Who else?

Doyle is the JCS replacement and I think would be expected to start. My guess would be: (⬆) Bidwell, Doyle, Fadz, Hyam, Dabo I think the next priority will be a Lwb and then one more cheap / inexperienced option for back up CB. If you play 3 at the back, really you...

    Hamer bids

You didn’t rate Maddison when he was here 😂 Anyway, we don’t need to worry about losing Hamer to the premier league because someone that knows what they’re talking about said this earlier this year: The problem with hamer is expectation - the notion he’s a premier league player in the making...

    Matt Godden

I was also confused by this for a while thinking that Fatso had merged the two seasons together but I think he means “lone” rather than “loan”

    Playoff Final

I know I’m biased but we play such better football than both of these. I appreciate we got done by both but I think our blueprint will be effective long term. Been a low quality game this

    Maatsan

Looks like he’s going to Dortmund. Have to say, I’m quite surprised he’s got a move to a club as big as that. Good on him though. When was the last time a player went from us to playing in the champions league the following season?

    Which one

Quite interesting. I bet he would’ve been very close to being in the very middle too. Still impressive though. I don’t see him being as easy to replace as so many say.

    Which one

I honestly can’t believe people are saying they would lose Hamer above the other two. He’s the most technically gifted player I can remember seeing in a city shirt. Keep at almost all costs. Gyok has been a phenomenon and has been more valuable than his goals but I also think a lot of...

    Robins new contract!

Amazing news. He deserves a huge pay rise for the huge income he's bought in to our club. Only right he sees some of that into his own pocket. His transfer net spend would be in profit (even just our 'big three' current saleable values compared to what we paid) whilst also taking us up two...

    The Jones Enigma

Finished?! He’s only 28! He could definitely still do a job in goal for Scotland.

    The Jones Enigma

Agree. He offers something different when he’s on the right cutting in. I watched some highlights of our league 2 season and forgot how influential he was before his injury (appreciate a very different standard)

    Gus

This award is obviously a shambles but Gus is a phenomenal player and still massively underrated. He plays about 2 seconds ahead of everyone else in the team - for me he would be the biggest loss if he were to leave.

I would just love to know what people mean when they say “we should’ve gone for it”. Thought we set up with the best chance of winning - not sure what we could’ve done to improve our chances of winning yesterday
