With Kane going will we dip in the loan market for RWB cover?

If so I'd imagine Dijon Sterling might be on the list again. Still at Chelsea but cat really see a breakthrough there for him. Maybe a loan to perm?

Mate at work is a Blackpool fan, he played at LB for them last year and apparently was superb.

So, this transfer window so far:

Todd Kane was never going to play for the club again after a serious incident, but he is still here.
Waghorn had a fall out and was likely to never play for the club again either, but he is still here.
Walker was looked to be offloaded, but also seems to have a chance at redemption.
Hamer was the first to be sold, but nothing materialised.
O'Hare was next in line, but that also fell apart.
Moore had interest from elsewhere and rumours were that he was going. Also still here.

I recognise this is still premature and things can change, but a lot of the above information came from people that have usually been pretty reliable beforehand, yet none of it (so far) has come true. What's going on? Not having a pop at anyone and I am really grateful for the inside knowledge we get (which might be why it feels different to normal), but I can't help but feel that it is all just a bit strange.
Kane will be moved on
Waghorn and Walker we have not had offers to cover enough of their wages to make it work
Hamer and O’hare at the moment the offers we have had have not not be substantial to make it worth doing
Moore could be involved to create cash but would be surprised

The club are still open to letting Walker go then if they can find a suitable taker?

Just shows how much of this information is idle gossip and speculation. Staff absolutely love to gossip and often make shit up from a hint. I used to know people within the club. They would tell you interesting stuff about general things but absolutely nothing about transfers or unfortunate incidents. And that was in the days when information could have a less detrimental effect on outcomes. For example, Ian Gibson was a bit of a twat, George Curtis used to grab Speedie by the ear to put him in his place. Ndlovu used to take a suitcase full of shoes back to Zimbabwe. Curtis was a big mate of Derek Dougan. The only incidents I remember are when Regis had his arm broken for sleeping with a Coventry DJs wife and Atkinson's wife was upset he may have been having an affair..

Dujon Sterling being sent out on loan by Chelsea, again! Would he fit into the ethos of how we play now, or is he yesterdays rwb?
If Kane does go he’d be a great option for us as back up to Dabo. I liked him when he was here and I get it’s a fair step from L1 to Championship but he did ok at Blackpool last season.

Tuchel seems to rate him too.

Surely Chelsea wouldn't loan him to us as a back up to Dabo. I liked him but can't see him coming here.

Weird you should say that about Ndlovu because Zuniga used to put marmalade sandwiches in his suitcase to take back to Peru.

Don't think there's any need for another RB or RWB. Dabs is more than capable for a promotion campaign if MR realises he shouldn't be played out of position.

Even if he gets injured again, Eccles is more than ready to jump in, and Burroughs isn't far behind either.

Nothing against Todd Kane, he played well enough. But makes sense to free up his wage. No real need to replace him as we already have enough strength in that area.

Would rather focus on getting some competition on the other side for Bidders.

Seems like Adaramola (palace LWB) will be announced tomorrow

Sounds like a done deal and he looks an interesting prospect. My concern is more, if he gets injured, is Bidwell the man to step up? I see Bidwell more as a central defender. And a bench player at that. Nothing really against him, but I want us to be aiming for play offs, minimum. And he strikes me as a good Championship player you use if you are aiming mid-table.

Panzo is a left sided central defender ??

Two positions. LCB & LWB.

Bidwell can play both.

Panzo seems first choice at LCB based on pre-season.

Where does that leave Adaramola and Bidwell. Surely they should both be starters? They'll both be fighting for one position.

With our budget, and the amount Bidwell will be on, surely it doesn't fit?

We need 2 wing backs on each side look at last season Maatsen Bidwell Kane Dabo all played a lot of games and we even relied on Dacosta Shipley and Eccles for games too.

Adaramola and Dabo start I reckon. Panzo, Hyam and Fadz in the middle. Eccles provides cover from the bench for Dabo as well as centre mid. And Bidwell to provide cover for Panzo and Adaramola.
