I don’t think Robins took him to the Championship with the intention of him playing every week (he was bought as a squad player in league 2 but has massively overachieved). If he could play like that every week he wouldn’t be a third choice striker on a couple of thousand a week.

Every time he’s played up front with a partner he’s been consistent and very good. As a lone striker being completely isolated of course he’s struggled, as have Walker and Godden playing that lone role.

At 29, he’s been at the club for nearly half the years I have been watching us. Can never fault his will to win and attitude to play for the shirt. He’s as close to a club legend as I can think of over the last 25 years.
