    Today's Bets

I've had Middlesboro, QPR and Swindon Middlesboro 3-0 up, Swindon losing at the moment.

Sunday League footy memories and funny stories

I played sunday football for many years in both the Cov league and the Nuneaton league. I felt in general the Cov league was generally a nicer league to play in, but when things kicked off it could get really bad. The Nuneaton league was littered with red cards, violence towards refs and each...

    Blackpool fans

In my view this is exactly the sort of thing we could/should have done..... It was pre-planned on at least one Blackpool message board, and apparently large sections of the police and stewards were in full support.... I'm not exactly in the 'SISU Out' camp, but I'm bloody angry at the state of...

How big a club are we?

I haven't read the entire thread, so apologies if repeating what anybody else has said.... If you list out all league teams, and put them in order of 'size of club'..... we could be placed anywhere between bottom of 1st division and middle of 2nd division, depending on your particular...

What do you do when the opposition score against us?

Usually stand there and say or think "for fuck's sake"...... to be honest been disappointed that many times over the years it's all I can muster..... you can usually see it coming anyway so it's more a feeling of dejection and acceptance, rather than anger nowadays. For a particularly...

    Away day memories

Cardiff away at Ninian Park, a couple of years before they moved to a new ground.... a manhole cover had collapsed on the road down to the M4, hundreds of city fans got there late, we didn't get there until half time.... we were 1 up by then, atmosphere on that terrace was awesome with...

    Sheffield Away

Not really.... It will be by no means full but we will only have the lower tier I guess, which will be well populated... Love it as an away day... great city, ground is close to the centre, and the lower tier is a carbon copy of the west terrace.... that Friday night game a couple of years...

Is your town a coventry city stronghold ?

I'm in Bedworth. If we're talking real fans who follow their team, then yes it's a city stronghold. Far outnumbered though by mongs who support Manchester United and Liverpool. I think Nuneaton is less of a stronghold due to the influence of Borough, but city fans probably making up towards 50%...

New stadium - Okay, let's just suppose for a moment

You're trying to spark debate with people who use such witty banter as 'shitfields' in every conversation, and anyone who doesn't agree with them is called 'tim'... fuck em..... let them believe that by sitting on their arses at home they are protesting..... p.s. Leeds' protests will be...

Whatever anyone says- when the move back to the Ricoh was agreed...

It's a fair point, however do people not think we are now at the point of no return with SISU, where they now need to put up or shut up. They now need to do a deal to acquire part of the Ricoh (unlikely) or a new ground (slightly less unlikely IMO, but not guaranteed). If neither of these are...

Whatever anyone says- when the move back to the Ricoh was agreed...

But if SISU did what 'the fans' want and threw more money at the club in an attempt to chase back the 'glory days' (built on money we didn't have), then we would be back in the same position. Alternatively they could do what the fans also want and 'fuck off' and then we would have no club...

    Would You Still Go ?

I posted something similar on GMK recently, but what we have here is symptomatic of the Sky Sports generation. At the tender age of early 30's I believe I am the last generation of 'old fashioned' football fans, who can remember before the premier league, sky sports, etc, when the best way to...

    Badge coming down :(

This is typical of the anti-sisu, one sided view that prevails on this website. Every time someone mentions something that the council/acl/wasps/etc may have done in error, everybody jumps in with "well sisu did this..." I think people who went to sixfields do get it that the period in...

Ricoh Open Day ... This is how to do it.

I shudder to think what the response would be on here, if SISU had control of the Ricoh and had then bought Wasps in..... Unfortunately some people are so entrenched in their views against SISU that they simply will not accept that Wasps being here is, on the face of it, not a very promising...

Ricoh Open Day ... This is how to do it.

Yes and the Wasps owners are angels in comparison, according to many on here, despite permanently moving their fans' club 80 miles up the road, and coming up with such gems as "it will make it easier for most fans to attend"

Ricoh Open Day ... This is how to do it.

Oh dear. Yet another city 'fan' revelling in the fact that Wasps are here (a franchise club remember), and mocking those who supported the team in Northampton. At least those who went to Northampton could be relied upon to put their money where their mouth is, unlike the masses who sat at home...

I've got my tickets, have you got yours?

Any fans of other clubs reading this must think we are an utter joke..... The topic starter will be a major loss to our support, after all he feels important enough to make a public announcement that he's no longer supporting us... Either that or he's a fucking mong...

    Matchday Experience

I made a similar point on GMK earlier. Stood at the back of block 15/16 1st half and it was bloody awful today, so went and stood at the back of the Telegraph stand 2nd half. The atmosphere coming from block 15/16 and the away fans didn't actually sound too bad from the telegraph stand...
