ACL and the City Council announcement

Pax - what this new financing arrangement has done two fold. Firstly it has secured the loan away from a commercial bank. Whilst the loan was with Yorkshire Bank the bank could legally sell that loan to a third party, say for instance a hedgefund that was trying a hostile takeover of the loanee...

    Blair Adams Last Game?

Unless in all the talk about ACL and SISU etc I missed it I haven't seen any news on a loan extension for Blair Adams, which would make tonight his last match. Hopefully something is being sorted as he's a decent player and currently the only left back at the club.

ACL and the City Council announcement

Vote of council was unanimous - no split along any party lines. This was not Reds against evil capitalists this was a council (for once maybe) acting united on behalf of the citizens of Cov

ACL and the City Council announcement

As we understand it ACL never fell behind in payments to Yorkshire bank but whilst rent was being with held value of stadium was deemed to be falling and loan to value would have been affected. This meant a third party, such as an interested hedgefund, could have bought the loan off Yorkshire...

ACL and the City Council announcement

WAS their end game - not scaremongering at all. Its now history so now settling rent sensibly can be got on with.

ACL and the City Council announcement

I think its this aspect that I think has changed - SISU will now be more willing to look at offers that whilst still meaning they lose a lot of money whats their alternative? Keep putting more money in month after month with no hope of a return? I think this will allow someone to pick club up...

ACL and the City Council announcement

They certainly can afford to - even if you assume the rent in this years budget by Fisher was the £200k he is always talking about well the cup games against Spurs and Arsenal would have brought in £1/2 million above anything that was budgeted for. It is not going to be a case of can't afford it...

ACL and the City Council announcement

At the end of the day she will do what gets her and her investors most money. Liquidating would get only the ARVO money which is £1m or so whilst a sale to a new owner might get her more - obvioulsy she could be spiteful but I doubt she has made her millions by allowing sentiment to overrule...

ACL and the City Council announcement

To me personally (not a Trust view) it is sad that SISU have put millions in and got nowhere with it - seems if the same amount had been spent more wisely we could be a much healthier and more successful club.

ACL and the City Council announcement

This is now the million dollar question - SISU's gameplan of getting the Arena is now sunk so what do they do next? Do they liquidate the club? Unlikely as they wouldn't get much back and to do so would simply be an act of spitefulness. They may decide to stay and run the club on a commercial...

ACL and the City Council announcement

As we understand it the offer is as was reported with the owed rent being paid over 10 years. Problem with SISU getting the stadium would have been if their intention was simply to sell it on immediately to a third party. Not selling football club but the arena complex, This would have left CCFC...

ACL and the City Council announcement

The lower rent offer is still on the table what this removes is the real threat of SISU forcing ACL into admin and getting hold of the Arena on the cheap and flipping it for a quick profit. Ball is now firmly in SISU's court.

10 As has been stated before Trust have been in communication with all parties and have been told what it is about but we have been asked out of courtesy not to reveal details as CT have been promised exclusive. Its quite frustrating not to be able to say but if we say too much we may not be...

    New kit 2013/14 ?????

I used to like it when the fans go a vote on a kit - it would be in the Telegraph and we could at least think we were making the decision. In reality it had probably already been made but at least it made for some lively debate.

    Council announcement today?

It is not directly connected to rent agreement or settlement of it but relates more to what OSB speculated ACL might be doing to safeguard their business.

    Blair Adams

Wondering if we are trying to off load someone before we can afford him - know Hussey has gone but cannot imagine he was on a lot of money yet Adams is at a Prem League club so there will be a disparity in wages. Maybe we are trying to do a loan until end of season with Sunderland funding all or...
