Greed and to prevent him going somewhere else I’d guess. They don’t need him at all.

There is absolutely nothing from the source they’ve quoted, West London Sport, to suggest that we’ve moved ahead of QPR for him.

Are they closing the roads for this or is just for league games? Don’t know if I can be arsed getting home at 11 just for a boring cup game.

Ironically at the time it was a ridiculous fee. £1m for a player from the conference in 2012 was crazy. Back then the highest fees being paid in this league were like £2-4m.

Burnley only have 7 first team centre backs on their books tbf, can see why they’d need him.

Hopefully we turn up for this one and don’t play as conservatively as we did away at Stoke. Our record away from home in the first few months of the season tends to be quite poor.

Pretty dull opening weekend. All the games went the way you’d expect except for maybe Brentford beating Palace or Brighton getting as big of a win as they did at Everton, but even then it’s not like either were huge surprises. Three 2-0 wins for the teams you’ve expect to be challenging for the...

Maybe Sunderland to win the league wasn’t that bold of a shout after all. Time to bow down to Gab Sutton.

It’s more our ability to kill games off that worries me. For all our dominance yesterday it still took a 95th minute winner to win what is, on paper, our easiest game of the season. Sloppiest obviously to blame for letting them back into the game, but they shouldn’t have even been given the...

I think we’ll be good for top 6. Don’t see us as a top 2 team though.
