Yeah my mistake, thought you were saying they tested players last night while we didn’t 👍
Agree that we can’t really take much from that cup game last season.
For all the improvements made by King it’s baffling that the commercial side of things still seem to be so bad and no heads appear to have rolled for it. Like @steveo1987 says in the post above this are problems every year.
Pretty brave of the source to stick at it even with Dangerous Doug on their tail. Sounds very likely that he’d catch someone leaking all our transfer business to their mate so they can endlessly tweet about it and let them off with a slap on the wrist so it must be true.
Dawkins said on the podcast that Southampton had contacted us ‘yesterday’ although not sure when the podcast was released. He did also say that Sheaf is out until the international break though so 🤷♂️
In the long term it is perhaps better for us if he has another year in Portugal. If he emulates last seasons form again this year the offers for him next summer will surely be humongous.
Based on? Struggle to think of many games he’s had for us that have been better than what Eccles has produced over the couple of years.
I guess he scored a good goal at Hillsborough and did one good pass vs Plymouth though.
Only way we’re ever getting out of this league is via the play-offs. Ipswich getting autos last season will retrospectively go down as one of the greatest footballing achievements of the 21st century imo.
I said 6th before the season started and I’m going to tentatively stick with that for now. Autos always felt like a massive pipe dream. It’s simply too hard to compete against these parachute clubs.
