    Best 2 sky blues teams....

Just wondering if for the benefit of older supporters we have a poll for two era's? One 1960 -1990 and 1991 - 2016? Many of our younger supporters may not have been around in the first period. For example Goalkeepers- Bill Glazier first period,Keiron Westwood second period.

Poll. New Stadium or remain at the Ricoh ?

Given a choice, which would you prefer ? 1 A new Stadium within the City bondary or 2. A re-negotiated long term deal to remain at the Ricoh This may give the club some sort of indication of the supporter's preferences. Can anyone make this into a proper poll as I (as an OAP) don't know...

    Tony Mowbray and Jimmy Hill

My thoughts are if Tony Mowbray manages to get us promoted into the Championship the circustances now are far more difficult than when Jimmy Hill got us promoted. Financial Fair Play plus may other contributing factors make TM's task far more difficult than in the 1960's when JH came in and...

Capacity in the unlikely hood of a new stadium should be ?

Note to whoever. 15,000 ain't going to be big enough ! Yesterday's gate proved once again that even with moderate success in the third tier, 15,000 plus could be a regular gate. This could increase upto 20,000 nearer to the end of the season. The City of Coventry will suppport a successful...

OK Chris, how did the meeting with Wasps go ?

I understand Chris met with Wasps yesterday "informally" to chat about options available and required ? If so, when can we expect some feed back as the new policy is to keep the fans informed and avoid conjecture.

Memories of Coventry City F.C. from 2010

Looking through the above book yesterday brought back so many memories of legends seldom mentioned on here these days. The book is full of scanned newspaper reports and articles from newspapers starting in 2010. Legends not forgotten are for example, Maurice Setters, Dave Clements, Dennis...

    Peanuts...

Note to SISU on the next choice of Manager:- If you pay peanuts, you get monkeys. Without doubt an experienced Manager (ie Nigel Adins for example) won't be cheap, but will pay his way with results.

So, who DON'T we want !

Hockaday McFarlane Neither of these two -- SISU note.

    Surely it's not impossible..

Surely it's not too impossible for the 3 main parties wanting SISU OUT to unite and form a unified plan of action ? ie NOPM, Sky Blue Trust and the newly formed Preservation Sky Blues. At the moment everyone is darting around like moths round a light bulb. So, why not ! Any else agree or...

    Protests

NOPM is suggesting the best way to protest is to protest outside Joy's office -- they alledge she hates that, plus target SISU investors with emails and letters. Any thoughts ?

    Affinity....

It's impossible to build an affinity to a team comprising of loan players, because they are not "ours". They are only here for a short time. Previously, the team comprised of contracted signings and established a relationship with the fans. OK, players left, but not at the rate loan signings...

    For the first time ever...

For the first time I looked for Coventry United's result first. Could hardly believe I did this. (The won 3-1 in the Cup by the way). I am Sky Blue first and foremost, or thought I was. Shocked even myself today that I was more interested in United's result than Sky Blues. At least United are...

Fallen out of love after 62 years...

For 62 years since my first visit to Highfield Road as a ten year old, Coventry City has been my passion and love. It's like a relationship, a few ups and downs along the way but now, after 3 years or more where I have been kicked in the balls continually by the other half (CCFC/SISU).. love as...

How many Managers are without a club ?

There must be several Managers with a proven track record available and looking for a club. Tony Pullis for one, did miracles at Crystal Palace with his man motivation. Any more ?

A measure of lost intrest in CCFC...

I had completely forgotten we were playing last night. Here's me, a passionate supporter too ! Multiply this by 10,000 and here's the reason SISU ! Got totally absorbed in watching flowing football from Chelsea on the box, it was only this morning I remembered and looked for the result !

My thoughts on what CCFC should do (but won't)...

Get several vastly experienced players who are coming to, or about to, coming to the end of their careers.. ie in the Dennis Wise mould. Might be short term but this might, with the experienced young players, lift CCFC into the Championship. A team containing, say 6 experienced "names", might...

What are we protesting about ?

The sale to Wasps is a "done deal" - too late to protest about that. We can voice our anger (if we have any about the sale) but that's it. There is very llittle we can protest about until this whole saga settles and we know what's happening re the Higgs shares. Frustrating, but until SISU...

    Court of Appeal

Is that to-day ? (10th October). I understand that SISU's application to question the Judge's verdict is today. What do SISU hope to obtain from this now CCC has sold it's share in ACL (including Wasps taking over the £14 million loan).
