EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

So, nothing has changed. The vote is still PPG or play on. If 51% vote to embed PPG into regulations on June 8th ( all 71 clubs vote) then League 1 will vote on June 11th. There are no further choices... PPG or play on, 51% decide.

According to the Daily Mail EFL clubs have to notify the EFL of their voting intentions by tomorrow, Tuesday.

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

The benefits of Wycombe Oxford Fleetwood and Portsmouth voting for PPG are revenue from Sky and payments reflecting their position they finished in the league. Not sure how much they get from finishing 4 - 6. Surely they won't risk losing income by voting to play on.

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

What are the supporters of Wycombe, Oxford, Portsmouth and Fleetwood saying on their forums ? I think their views will go a long way in these four guaranteed a play off place under PPG in which way they vote.

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

As someone who watched CCFC rise up from Division 3 (South) and the old Division 4, experiencing the entire Jimmy Hill era and 34 years unbroken time in the top flight, I enjoyed the top flight even though we struggled most seasons. Every game allowed me to see the top teams and international...

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

Under PPG I think the 4 teams guaranteed a play off place will now vote to end the season, leaving only Posh, Ipswich, possibly Tranmere, and Sunderland voting to play on.

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

I think they will vote on 3 options. Null and Void, PPG and PPG weighted. Playing on will not be an option. The one with the most votes will be the decider.

EFL to end season this week - City likely to be promoted

Those six clubs fail to realise that if they persist they could well bankrupt at least 15 clubs. Fortunately, I think the EFL know this and will put the majority of other clubs first and foremost otherwise Leagues 1 and 2 could well cease to exist in the present form.

If we are not promoted would you support SISU if they took legal action against the EFL ?

EFL Decision on Coventry’s future expected today

Voiding the season would only benefit a minority of EFL members fighting relegation and would show bias against the majority of members. PPG is the fairest way if there is no other way. I have emailed the EFL supporters services.

    Childhood memories of CCFC

As a 10 year old in 1952 catching the bus from Balsall Common and walking to Highfield Road from Pool Meadow. In those days there were men selling Rosettes and button badges with the players photo. Seeing my first game, I think it was v Southend. Peter Taylor was in goal that day. Standing up...

    The Power of Now

Agreed, the past is an experience to learn from and deal with in the Now. Expectations are an illusion. Buy the book, it really is a good read.

    The Power of Now

Wrong .... the future is just an illusion in your mind, NOW is the only real time. As a side, The Power of Now helped my brother beat cancer. He didn't analyse the reasons why he had it or worry about what might happen. This book helped him deal with his cancer in the Now, accepting he had...

    The Power of Now

The Power of Now is a fantastic book by Ekhart Tolle which shows that Now is the only real time. Now we have 4 points, the same number as the team 4th in the table. No point in living in the past games, how we played, what goals we should have had, team selection etc. No matter how much...
