    Highfield Road Post-match Electronica

Yeah that song just reminds me of the mid/late noughties, our decline from former-Premier League to battling administration and relegation in the Championship. Dowie, Coleman and terrible Puma kits.

    Highfield Road Post-match Electronica

When I first started watching The City at Highfield Road in the early 90s I remember there was an electronica tune that was regularly played over the PA system after the match had ended as we all shuffled out in the cold and dark. I always wanted to find out what it was but never did (and Shazam...

Any news on when they’re going to launch the away kit?

Just you wait until big lads with moobs (i.e. my good self) are modelling it.

Hopefully these ashes at the bottom of the kit will help mask the inevitably greasy stains that accumulate around the midsection

So, Nike’s Teamwear setup in the UK is definitely through another company which also supplied stuff under the Avec brand — Just Sport Group. As for the story with Puma / KIT@ / CCFC Merchandise, I’d not heard that before, although it is intriguing. If you look at the dates of the three clubs...

I just went to buy this on historic football shirts btw and had the order refunded; it sold on eBay yesterday! Gah!

    New kit information

For I think 4 seasons between 1999 and 2003 our kit was our own brand - the label inside said something like ‘Official CCFC Garment’. Given how most branded kits are made in a variety of factories in SE Asia it’s likely it’s the same place that made previous Coventry kits, just withoutan...

Really not keen on the arrangement of badge above Hummel, and then the giant sponsor logo. The pattern in the shirt is ok, but otherwise it’s kind of bland?

There’s maybe a touch too much navy on this but otherwise I think this is a great kit. Helps that Subaru is a classy sponsor.

    New kit information

Everton’s home shirt has been launched: I checked the back and it doesn’t have the distinctive triangular seam so I don’t think this is the collar or Sleeves we’ll be using (weirdly this looks a lot like the collar from our 19/20 kit, I think).

were they ever actually template kits back then? Did anyone else have the same kit as us just in a different colour scheme?

God we had a lot of terrible Puma kits, didn’t we?

    New kit information

My eagle-eyes brother noticed that you can see a triangular fabric seam at the top of the shirt, which he claims isn’t present on virtually any other Hummel kits: In fact it is used on one special edition Danish kit from 19/20: Here’s the front of the same kit, which would give us an idea...

The tone of sky blue and lack of detail puts me in mind of the kits of the 60s. Given Hummel’s love of referencing classic kits in their designs (not just for us - check some of the other EFL sides who’ve had Hummel kits recently), I’d have a punt and say it could be a reproduction of a classic...

    New Kit

I went into the Toronto Blue Jays club shop in the Rogers Centre when I was in Toronto last summer and it was astonishing just how big scale sports merchandise is over there. It’s like you say, they have pre-printed named shirts for all their major stars, in all the variants, along with an...

    New Kit

This is true for the mega clubs who get a massive signing on bonus for going with a given manufacturer, but it's not the case for basically anyone outside that top tier of Champions League-type clubs. Certainly for CCFC there will be revenue driven by the number of shirts sold, rather than them...
