Mason-Clark is offside more than Huckerby. Just total carelessness.

Irrespective of the hits and misses, picking up a soon-to-be Belgian international striker for 2m or whatever is outstanding business.

I don’t think they were piss-poor goals. First one was a cracking ball to split the defence and a lovely finish (Thomas perhaps should have cut it out); the second (after we’d given the ball away admittedly) was again a very good assist and excellent finish. Both real moments of quality.

I’m on a plane waiting to head home reading this and thinking about the match. That really was a cracking game of football - shitty weather, good atmosphere, proper ding-dong. Thought everyone stood up and played their part. Can point at our defence for their goals but they were also really...

But he also shouldn’t have strayed offside there - then he wouldn’t have had to back-heel it even though that was a lovely finish.

Can’t remember but we could have scored from this set-piece.

The free-kick when Tats was fouled on the edge of the box was very good, took Sheff U completely by surprise.

Ref was rubbish but I didn’t see either of those first-half challenges as penalties personally.

Can’t agree with this. Was no need to be offside, just didn’t time his run properly when looking directly across the line. Header also should have been better. The one he was unlucky with was what should have been a penalty. He touched the ball before the defender caught him for which he was...

Bit weird giving Rob Gurney a clap. That would have been far more productive with a single, professional interviewer picking apart answers. Obviously accept that it was a fans' forum, of course.

Typical Cov, pre-planned substitute after 60-odd minutes. Doug and Austin off.

Not a great intro missing Sillett off, agreed.

Come on EMC, not lived up to your billing so far but this is the perfect time to shine.

For those not watching, Wright looked like he rolled an ankle. He hobbled off with a boot off but couldn't put any weight on his foot. Then sat on an advertising board waiting for a stretcher.

Never a red card. Edit: Haven't seen a replay so happy to accept I'm wrong if conclusive.

Yellow fair there, don't think anything serious in that challenge,

Mepham and Browne in our team and genuinely think it's a sliding doors moment. Two huge areas of weakness.

This is true but he was able to run 30 metres or so with the ball without being challenged.
