What they lack in experience without Fadz they make up for in pace
Just think it pushes the whole team a bit closer to each other and makes those passing interchanges/triangles that bit easier. Risk of them getting in behind of course as we have seen a couple of times already.

Also asked the question because you can't always see the full picture on ifollow

Great first half, but knowing us we'll run out of steam, sit deeper and deeper and end up throwing it away!

God I hope I'm wrong.

Panzo, hamer, COH and Sheaf have been immense. But everyone has contributed thus far.

Special mention to Allen, you can see why in this formation he will nearly always start ahead of Palmer. He literally doesn't stop working, he presses, then moves the midfield around creating space for CoH, Hamer and Gyokeres.

Besides 1 blip , best 45 of the season

By some distance. Blackburn are a strange side. Look good moving forward but awful at defending

I’ve criticised Allen but he seems to have taken a new level this season. If he can add goals in his game could be a surprise player this season

O hare makes such a difference

Excellent first half, with O'Hare's presence making it possible to get back to last season's style of play. Since coming back from his ban, I haven't seen Hamer launch into one stupid challenge, and by keeping his head and staying on his feet he looks twice the player.

Fucking shoot on sight and chase everything in with this keeper, looks dodgy as fuck. In fact the all do if we get in their faces, how they are where they are no idea.

This, we need to capitalise on their panicking.

Is it my imagination or is the back line playing a bit higher tonight without Fadz there? Feel like it's contributing a bit more to the fluid football when the gap between the lines is a bit shorter, passes travelling 10 metres instead of 15 with a bit more fizz and accuracy.
I have always suspected this. As good as Fadz in at backs to the wall defending we play about 10 yards deeper with him in the side and we struggle to play out from the back as effectively.

The level of stick that Eccles and Allen get on here is embarrassing. Well now Eccles has an assist from a cross playing out of position, give him a bit of credit.

There are a number of here have made their minds about Eccles at right wing back and don’t actually look at how he is playing. He may mess up in the second half but he’s be steady in the first half. Allen falls into the same category.

Their defence looks terrible, goalkeeper too. Spilling everything and not coping with the press.

Might be hard with the energy levels but keep the same plan going

Great first half.
Panzo, Doyle and Sheaf brilliant
Hamer too.

It's been a very decent performance and I don't think Eccles has been that bad either.

A few mistakes by a few players here and there, but overall it's been a very good performance and we deserve the lead.

Not a fan of Eccles at rwb but he's playing ok tonight I think, he has a tendency to push too high when his cb is looking for an out ball but apart from that he's done ok, has an advantage of being a bit taller than the other 2 also

Always enjoy it when our ickle Hasbulla gets a goal after he's been slated. He's a decent Championship midfielder nowadays. Won't pull up any trees, but he can do a job.

Now we're a goal up, I'd say we are playing very well. We look better than Blackburn and we need to kill them off early 2nd half. We can win this 3 or 4-0 if we want to, not defend the 1-0.

Good movement and finish from the lad tbf.
Agreed I think his movement the way he breaks forward to give options to the lads on the ball is under-rated by many.
The style we have been playing over the past few weeks also suits Allen far more.

Me too, argued with Evo once too often about it last season :)

Same decision that faced a certain England manager last year

I think Eccles has the best delivery of all our wingbacks TBH, actually looks up and picks a man rather than just swinging his foot at it.

I've not been his biggest fan, but can't really fault him over the last couple of weeks, just wish he was stronger physically and a bit more aggressive.

I'd like to see a bit more evidence than one half of football before agreeing tbf. Get the point, but Fadz has single handedly kept us from being embarrassed multiple times this season alone.
