Forden is 22 and won the EPL 4 times.
Bellingham and Sancho don't have an EPL or Bundesligue win between them.

2017/2018 played 5 times
2018/2019 played 13 times
Most of those will have likely came off the bench with very low amount of minutes.
Yeah have 4 EPL titles but you could say that about Scott Carson… doesn’t mean you had any impact or involved

But in those 2 seasons he was working with Silva which would have been invaluable he then bagged plenty of appearances in their next 2 league winning seasons and he's also got domestic cup wins under his belt.

I agree with your general point about players going out on loan or moving club to get experience, just don't think Fodden is a good example of someone who should have gone down that route.

Nor me and that’s partly my point
The message should just have said we can confirm the game will be going ahead as planned rather than taking a dig at social media rumours. The situation is changing pretty much hourly I’m sure and it’s a huge distraction from our battle to get out of the bottom 3

Disagree with the dig at social media - I like it. It's saying don’t belief every single rumour and actually agrees with your last point - they won’t want social media nonsense going round as it’s another “thing” for them to deal with / a potential unwarranted distraction.

Side note; you’re usually so positive Pete! Hoping the slightly more glass half empty is just based on frustration as opposed to any inside knowledge (not that I’m suggesting it’s fine on a personal level that you’re frustrated!).

I feel like like he's got a point but then, in Foden, picked the worst possible example.

Exactly. Foden trained with Silva, De Bruyne, Fernandinho, Aguero etc. he was involved in the match day squads as a 16/17 year old. That’s better experience than going to some league one or championship team

It’s all based around the timing of when things happen though. Right now you could look at someone like Cole Palmer and say he needs to go out on loan but in a few years could say oh it was better that he stayed as he learnt off Haaland in training while he was around like Foden learnt off Silva If Haaland’s dad is anything to go off, he’s saying his son will likely only do 2-3 years and then move on to another league

If that’s the case, basically if you are playing for a top 6 club then what you are realistically saying is going out on loan is not a sensible decision as you learn off world class players in training providing you are training with the first team… however you won’t get any minutes

Let’s face it, all the top 6 have world class players

I see both sides of the debate here, there can be benefits to both and if anything I’m more open to changing my original answer, but the question is… how important is first team minutes over learning from world class players in training? Maybe Championship isn’t the answer, maybe the better answer is going out on loan to the Bundesliga for example as opposed to the championship should you go out on loan

He would have just turned 17 a couple of months before the 2017/18 season and 18 just turned 18 before the 2018/19 season. He actually played 26 times across all competitions including 4 in Europe that second season. It is good for players to go out on loan if it is of benefit to them, but Pep has managed Fodens development really well, I dont think a season in league 1 or championship at aged 17 or 18 would have particular benefited Foden.

Blackpool only sold 750. I always thought they travelled in decent numbers. Swear they brought more than that when we played them midweek last season.

Not really, Eccles has played there before, is fitter, and will be with us past the end of the season. But if there was some anti-Kane agenda, he wouldn't be getting on at all. There was no obvious reason to pull Bidwell off the other night for example.
Only thing I can think is he’s on 4 yellows. Robins trying to save him from that 5th? When’s the cutoff point this season?

For some reason the number 800 springs to mind.

They were fucking loud tho, best away supporters we had imo

I was going to post similar. One thing I am looking forward to, is the atmosphere on Saturday, having remembered their decent vocal support last season. Although they were 1-0 up for a while iirc?

Bit of both. A lot may become clearer today

Excited for a few renditions of the Charlie Patino chant from the Blackpool fans, any idea how many are coming down?

If you haven't heard it, it's the chant of the season:

It's a weird one, gone from playing for Blackpool to watching has beens like Marcelo, James Rodriguez and Valbuena play

Edit: Saying that, doesn't look like any of them are playing much
