Beaten by the better team. To win a game like that you have to have the opposition underperform & everyone on our side at their best. We didn't have that & their quality told.

Nothing to get too worked up about, we know we lack quality compared to the divisions top sides & both fans and the staff know where we need to strengthen if the budget is available.

The O'Hare injury is a massive concern though.

Has he banged your missus or something?

There are people who get annoyed about commentators continually referencing Lionel Messi, so I’m not sure why it’s so out of line for me to be irritated about people banging on about Fabio Tavares.

Looked more like a hamstring to me, didn't see any ACL-type mechanism unless anyone has a clip? Interested to see what Robins says
As I wrote earlier, it looked inocculous with no obvious twist, suggesting calf or hamstring. However it did look similar to how Arsenal women's Miedema pulled up, which was an ACL.

Must be great being Fabio Tavares - you only have to run for five minutes a week and as long as you do a couple of stepovers and don’t literally shit yourself on the pitch you’ll still have people singing your praises and hailing you as the answer every week.
To be fair if all he’s given is five minutes, how is he supposed to improve his game 🤷‍♂️

Any news on O’Hare yet looked to be holding his calf but bbc saying a knee injury let’s hope not.

The way Robins describes it is that it happened on landing which could be either tbf... His tone suggests not hamstring though I'd say so those saying ACL could be right

If anyone can get a decent clip I'll probably be able to tell you

Could this daft injury COH had earlier on in the season go on to intermittently harm his career? A player who never seemed to struggle with injury gets one and it opens the floodgates.

Probably his worst of the last 10 or so though, yeah?

Yeah but he did what he always does. It’s just he couldn’t get away with it against this team who pressed tight. The waiting for the ball to come, poor first touches, running into nothing, poor passes were all capitalised on whereas normally he’d get away with a few.

This is spot on if it's possible.
I don't wish to knock these players particularly.
At the very, very least we need upgrades on Wilson, Allen, Kelly, Waghorn. Allen needs to be on fire to look like he’s competing at the level.

50% of our goals have come from one player. Injuries really haven’t been kind this season. If it lands on Gyokeres, we’re fucked.

O’Hare knew there was a problem soon as he landed he signaled towards the bench straight away, could not put weight on it doesn’t sound good.

I’m 99% convinced it is a knee injury.

Was more of a jolt than overstretching.

Given our record over the years, you can put your mortgage on it being an ACL.

If Callum is out for months I’d suggest that we are more a mid table team at best. I don’t think people realise the impact his energy makes on the opposition and the space it opens up for the rest of the team.
We should still be able to grind out some results so let’s hope that begins immediately on Thursday , but it won’t be fluent.

Just wish we could have a full squad.

Swansea, West Brom and now Sheff Utd all had benched players that would arguably compete for starting places with us.

We are 5 players away from being a top championship team. So frustrating.

‘Finger in the air’ comment re takeover doesn’t sound promising either.

Think he just means no idea when EFL will pull their finger out TBH.

We’re running everyone too hard. Well be down the bottom of players used league again this season. Only Swansea and Rotherham below is ATM.
This all comes back to the awful summer window which ultimately comes back to SISU running out of cash but hanging on for the Wasps bankruptcy.

And it seems like we’re entering January with them still in charge.

We also need to be signing players for the first team none of these ones that go into the reserves and then get released in a couple of years.

The transfer window is going to be very important we have three loan spots available which I’m sure MR will use then be interesting to see if there’s more
