According to Jim Brown, last night Bassette became the 1,078th player to represent Coventry in a competitive game since we joined the league in 1919.

What is more interesting is that this means that it took 6 years since Junior Brown became the 1,000th to reach an additional 78 players..

In the previous 6 years (otherwise known as the darkest era of our entire history), 137 new players represented the club. What a shit show we were.

100% agree, although that's still an average of 13 new per year. Lots of loans and a rise through the leagues is the reason, but I'd like to think the next 6 years would be an even lower turnover.

Agreed. Even last year I think it was 14.

So far this season I think it’s 5 (Dovin, Rudoni, EMC, BTA, Bassette)
