Interesting article on the BBC. The TV money makes a massive difference higher up in the leagues. So much so that 10 premier league teams could still have made a profit had they had no fans attend at all.
However in the case of the really big clubs gate receipts are still important because of what they spend on getting the stars in to their team (Man U Arsenal Liverpool etc). But it is focused on Corporate business not the average fan
The lower you go the more dependent teams are on gate money. But seems that CCFC are not the only ones dependent on gate money and they do not appear in the top 10 of clubs where matchday income forms the greatest part of turnover. (although I think that's wrong because matchday income in the 2017 accounts was 40.1% - the breakdown is in the SBS&L accounts not Otium)
