Birmingham v Forest - 16,000. Birmingham population = 1.1m. Granted, there's Villa, so halve it you get 550,000.

It seems Armybike has based his figures on Wikipedia, which can be innaccurate.
Buisness Doncaster had the population as 290K in 2010, so the 302k figure seems pretty spot on, and they could only muster just over 5,000 fans.
I was still dissapointed with our crowd though, but consistency will bring the fans back.
