Surely possible tomorrow if Swindon bring 3000. I despair if we don't get close

Looking forward to it. We always seem to raise our games against the big teams. Yeah, I know I just called Swindon "big".

Only if there's a chance of a Wembley appearance. If we get into the play-offs I can guarantee you know that we will get a full house for the home leg.

I fear you are correct, do coventrians not care??

I'd have thought there would be 11500 City there tomorrow. Would be nice if there was 12/12500

Skybluepete, share your feelings. Trouble is City supporters don't do support very much. When the team needs them they're not there.

They do indeed. They also have other things to do. The years of failure have driven them away. Loads of reasons for not going up nowadays.

I am struggling to drag myself up there this week and I am a season ticket holder. The off field crap has taken the shine off this roller coaster of a season.

they never take that anywhere - even to wembley

They have sold 2500, and I am sure they'll be a few more on the day so it will be close to that.

Easily their biggest following of the season and a bit of a day out for them. Make it all the more sweet when we turn them over.

As a ST holder I find that amazing. There is more riding on this game than pretty much every game that has gone before it this season. With a good away following for once it also promises to be a decent atmosphere. Really looking forward to it, and I honestly can't see how people cannot be looking forward to today. Perhaps it is just me.

There are other attractions nowadays than football and work patterns have changed. I think 12000ish considering the crap we are having to put up with lately is not that bad, most in this division get gates lucky to be as high as 8000. Away support is a lot lower too, no Leicester, Leeds, West Ham to bring 5/6000 .Most championship clubs bring 1500+ lucky to get 500 in this division.

The on field stuff. OK stangely I have been oblivious to the fact that our home form has been rubbish. I wonder what will happen today? I have faith in the team but we need a manager. Not Carsley till the end of the season. Going up to the Ricoh has been OK because we are seeing better football than we have for ages.

It is the same feeling I had a couple of seasons ago when we tailed off so badly. But this time it is about the way SISU are running our club. The club will not be there if things continue like they are. Does that make me want to go up there kicking my heels in excitement? Nyet.

I can't go today as I'm in France but I have already identified a sports bar to watch the score on and have packed my cov shirt which I will be wearing with pride. Nervous about today, would be a huge win if we can pull it off.

Another thing re. gates The 30000 who turned up for the Crewe jpt cup-tie a lot are criticised for bandwagoning which is rubbish, all are Sky Blue fans, most have fell by the wayside for whatever reason but it proved there is a untapped group of supporters who want city to succeed and can be attracted to go up. It is up to the powers that be to attract them and you don't do that with the current policies.

As long as this club has a sniff of a chance of promotion this season SISU will stick around. The next few games are vital.

We fall away however and I think they will bail out. Until that happens then I will continue to look forward to and enjoy my afternoons at the football. It remains the highlight of my week. Perhaps I'm just a sad fucker.

People like you with no knowledge of other so called smaller clubs get right on my tits.all advanced tickets sent to Swindon gone at least another 500 expected pay cash on the day(although I doubt that will be added to total) .last three Swindon wembley visits 33,000 32,000 31,000 (jpt).

Are you suggesting all cash payments today will not be added to the attendance figure. :thinking about:

If they could get away with it, I think they would. Any money that doesn't have to go through the bank would be very welcome at the moment. Trouble is, ACL will have access to the turnstyle figures, so I'm not sure it is feasible. I'm sure your POTD fans will be counted.

I think most people realise you have decent support. Your support today though is way above your average for the season so has caught a few people by surprise, but fair play.

Not suggesting cov fiddle away figures just been to a few away games this season when only advanced ticket sales were given as away fan numbers when there were clearly a lot more there.

Doesn't seem that strange, Swindon are certainly one of the bigger league 1 clubs.

Agree with that, although 3000 would be double the previous biggest away following this season at the Ricoh (1500 from Sheffield United), which is a bit surprising.

I suppose it's a new ground for them, isn't that far, they're going for promotion etc.

Looking forward to having a decent away following in the ground for once.

Looking forward to visiting such a nice staduim. looked at the facilities there (online) they are great especially the hotel and casino, your city is lucky to have such a facility.I know you don't own it and have to pay a high rent etc but still must give you some pride that its in your city, have you been to our ground !!!

If we were to get bumper crowds for the run in ,who recieves the income from cash ticket sales with the debt orders and frozen accounts.

There was a bit of poor excuse making though from some.

Recall the guy who rang CWR and said he was going to the Crewe match cos it was only a fiver and that it was all to do with money for thousands and thousands of supporters who hadn't been going up but were going to be attending the JPT tie.

So where were these people when Burton was a fiver and Sheff U was a fiver?

Obviously wasn't just about money. It was about only going up when they think the City are going to do well.

Not saying it was everyone, but I think a fair few thousand were indeed jumping on the bandwagon believing they were going to get a trip to Wembley out of it.

Well obviously you do because 30K went up less than a month ago. Two reasons we had a sell out; chance of going to Wembley and the fact the ticket prices were pegged at a brilliant price.

As I said earlier in the thread I can guarantee you now that if we have a play-off semi final at home then it will be a sell-out. Even if only 10K have turned up the week before.

It is up to the powers that be to attract them and you don't do that with the current policies.

Mr Trench, I know Macavity was a fictional cat? A criminal cat? But you'll have to expand on your enigmatic response. You've got me foxed (in a very Coventry City FC way). Right off to the game. Anyone else going?

Me, but working until 2. So a bit of a rush to get there. Hope 30K don't turn up today or I'm going to miss the start.
