Of course it isn't just Coventry people but would have thought as we were moved away more would be gagging to get back to see the team play nowThe amount of outrage when we were moved and now we are back it is like "ah ok we are back now".
Of course people will be working, of course people will have family commitments and only the very hardcore will run their lives 100% around football.
I totally agree with you.
I will be there rain or shine book holidays off work(when I'm working) just to go to the match.
What Pissis me off is that some on here Like to make out it is only Coventry people that do this??
unfortunately it isn't they need to take a look at themselves and look for the reason that they hate everything Coventry bar the team.
To be honest considering how little success the club has had in the last 45 years, and that we're in the 3rd tier at the moment our crowds aren't all that bad. No Wembley appearance in 27 years, no top 6 finish in 44 years. Says a lot about the core of our fanbase for it to still be around the 10-12k mark.
No, but certain people on here make out he isn't with their bullshit comments. Nick waded in yesterday with a few comments about the attendance and he wasn't even there. Now I know he had good reason, but Christ, he wasn't the only one with other commitments!
Joelly, it sounds to me like you are a pretty good fan. You go home and away when you can afford it...what more can we ask?
Lets face it Grendel say he earns 100k, also admits he rarely goes away. Balance those factors out and I think Joelly is more committed!

Now I've put my whistle away for a while I will get you a Bovril next away game we are both at
Going away contributes nothing to the football club financially.
Hahaha. Was going to go to the Rochdale game next weekend but no mention of it from the LSC so couldn't get a ticket and trains too expensive now. Aiming to get to Crewe next month though, will keep you posted
No but it is a good day out with your friends.
I have no friends - I personally find the concept over-rated
Why is the crewe game a fiver?
Sorry just my poor attempt at some humor in relation to this thread.
Last big game was crewe at £5 in the JPT and you said crewe was your next game and with people saying fans only go when it's cheap I was attempting to jokingly put you in this section of fans.
It didn't look that poor when shed loads of people were paying £4.50 for a bottle / can of cheap beer against Gillingham.
Going away contributes nothing to the football club financially.
Just logged on this morning expecting the biggest thread to be one of renewed optimism, FIFTH in the league for the first time since the Boothroyd days, back at the Ricoh, happy days, etc etc etc. Instead there is a 34 page thread of fans slagging each other off about who's a better fan than who. Amazing stuff!!
EDIT - I understand the irony of adding to this already ludicrously long thread - just find it funny!
Has anyone seriously said they are a better fan than others? :thinking about:
The very first quote in the thread?
I was there today but the prices put people off. They should cap it at 15 quid. I know so many ppl who were there last Friday but were not there today due to them refusing to pay over 20 quid for league 1 football. We stick in around the playoffs the attendances will increase.
I can't really remember people moaning about the prices when we were at the Ricoh before.
Nick,
How many went on the march?
How many went on the Hill?
How many went into Sixfields?
Add them all up and you may get 10,000 so most of them were probably at the game..
8000 went on the march
50 went on the hill on a good day
1500 went to Sixfields
Although a large proportion of 6field people went on the march.

Man, this thread.
NO-ONE IS OBLIGATED TO WATCH CCFC.
IF NOT ENOUGH PEOPLE ARE BUYING THE PRODUCT, THE PRODUCT NEEDS TO BE IMPROVED.
But no, any chance to show what a superfan you are compared to those other idiots.
Would love to see some of you as chairman of Tesco on the radio.
"So, quarterly profits are down Mr Tesco, why do you think this is?"
"It's those stupid fucking customers. The lowlives, don't they understand how hard I worked to get this store here! If they weren't so selfish I'd be making more money"
With number crunching like that you should work for RBS.
I completely agree that if you think we are shit, overpriced and a "poor product" then dont go - its a free world. problem is, its a good product and the prices are keen - so yes it is the customers fault.
I can't really remember people moaning about the prices when we were at the Ricoh before.
I wont watch ccfc until we are back at sixfields
The customers voted with their feet. It was too cheap at a tenner. We couldn't sell enough tickets. At full price the stadium was just over 1/3 full.
"Too Cheap" at a tenner!- Ha Ha thats a new one. Abosolute classic that.
Dont make excuses - they couldnt be arsed, and thats not a problem, CCFC are just another thing to do on a Saturday afternoon and Im cool with that EXCEPT - the amount of wailing and bellyaching that by going to Sixfields the club were depriving people that were SO DESPERATE to go to see them. Apparently the club had denied people their birthright.
Two weeks later = 11,000
I think people like the idea of us playing in Coventry, just not the act of actually going to see us.
So you think £10 was too expensive then?
