This is my first post on this Forum so be gentle with me. Thought I should join in with the banter and the bilge that Ive read on here every day for the past 8 months.and put my point of view over.
Ive lived in Bury for 20 plus years and this is the first season I have not renewed my season ticket, (38 years ) . Until I see a massive show of commitement from all concerned at CCFC,that includes Coventry council,Higgs Trust and Sisu I shall not be spending a penny more on them. Between them they have ruined the City and the community within. This needs to be addressed ASAP as I can only see our club and City falling deeper into the Abyss.
We should never have moved from Highfield Road. The Ricoh is to big for us and located to far from the City centre where access via public transport is pretty poor.
We need a manager who is a house hold name who has a provern past in various leagues, not a no mark that is still cutting his teeth and no one has heard of.

Agree with everything you say, I myself will not spend anymore money at the Ricoh until I see drastic and heartfelt changes at the club. Went to Crewe (a), seen the Brum match via the net and todays match will be via Sky Go.

Not being treated for a mug any longer.

Why do we need a well known name though? We have had household names before who have had a proven past and they have failed.

We just need the right bloke, I don't care if he's known across the world or we've never ever heard of him. Makes no difference.

We just need someone who will do the best job.

I think we need to completely avoid the route of going for a 'name'. I want someone who can actually organise a cohesive and successful team rather than any guff about reputation or taking 'no nonsense'.

I agree wholeheartedly with the danger of a 'brand name' manager. Nigal Adkins is a classic example of the right man rather than right name. Bangor and Scunthorpe prior to Southampton.

If the guy we get in is a name then so be it, but I'd hope they are hired because they show they can succeed in a similar situation to ours rather than 'you've heard of this guy, fingers crossed!'.

I remember raised eyebrows when Arsenal went for some French guy from Japan, after all.

You get what you pay for ( Primark or Ralph Lauren )? That goes for players aswell.

If Sisu had invested in players last season we would be having a different conversation . We may still be in the chumpion shit or up through the play offs.

A name attracts and sells itself, as in managers.

Been thinking about this. The closest I can get is Daz and Mr Sheen. Cilit Bang is close to Mr Sillet. Can anyone think of any more?

Iain Dowie wasn't a journeyman and was a very popular choice and a name a lot of people were talking about.

I dislked Dowie and didn't want him when his name started to get mentioned. I felt the same about him as I feel with the prospect of someone like Megson.
